Great improvement over last gen. Coming from last generation at found this kinda of weird. Last gen runs lot cooler i used to idle around 29-30C full load gaming no more them 56C. With this one I have try everything and idle temp jumps from 35-45 all the time it never stops it just jumps and jumps. Did a research and from what other people are saying with this gen this is completely normal.
Great CPU for the price although it is more expensive today than when I bought it. Still one of the best for the mid entry gaming/production rig.
This processor rocks, more than enough for gaming. The supplied air cooler is fine at base clock and I haven't seen any reason to overclock.
Bought it on cyber monday for just 199$! Thats such a good deal for a processor this powerful.. suppose to come with game codes but still haven't received those yet.. hope they come soon.
Got this for an excellent price. Included heatsink is sufficient as long as you're not doing anything crazy with it. Boosts to like 4.4ghz out of the box. Installed and it booted up with no issues. Doesn't get very hot.
Need new cpu for pc build, found this one the cheapest, saving a few dollars. Worked, nothing was missing
the 3600x if you get it for $209 is the best, but for $249, you are better with 3600 for $199
Snappy processor and 6 cores with 12 threads man you can game and work at the same time!
good for the price that price paid ($300)
5 stars for the processor, 3 stars for the service. I only had one issue with the service, and that was how it arrived. It was just the cpu box inside another cardboard box that was about twice as big. There was no paper or bubble wrap or anything to protect my $200 purchase. Luckily nothing was damaged, but that worry was in the back of my mind the whole time I was building the pc. Now onto the processor, it works perfectly and I think that until the 5600x becomes more readily available (probably not until january or feburary) this is the best bang for your buck you can get for a CPU. I got mine on sale for $209 before tax. I did have an issue with constant blue screens when I first installed windows, but after a bit of googling I found that the problem was the version of Windows that I was installing. I used a store bought boot drive that I've had for years, and apparently that version of windows happened to be incompatible with some ryzen cpus. I fixed it by using the Windows "media creation tool" to make a boot drive with the most recent version of Windows. No issues since then. Just keep that in mind before spending 4 hours testing to see if your ram is bad lol tl;dr: CPU great, Walmart ok, make sure you install with latest version of windows
