So I've have had the 2080 for about two weeks now. I only have one con so far and that is storage. The barbells are long and take up a good amount of space. Positive's these are really well made and you can feel the quality as soon as you pick them up. The select rotary knobs are very easy to turn and don't stick at all. I love all the combinations of work outs you can with with the straight and curl bar. Bowflex hit it out of the park on this one!
This is a great product! My husband has loved Bowflex for years so I trusted him when he said we should buy our own weights. The only reason I said it was a little difficult to set up, was really only attaching the stand. I had to take it all apart to them put it together with the stand. But it's all very sturdy, saves space in the room and is amazingly easy to use. I really don't have anything negative to say about it. Great product s all the way around!

Over the last 30 years I have been very active in the Gym. 5 days a week automatic. Unfortunately now a days the gym is packed with youngsters. Because of this I've set up shop in my garage. After reviewing every product from every company I decided to go with BOWFLEX. Specially the SelectTech Dumbbells and SelectTech Curl bars. Best decision ever. I love them. They are well made and get the job done. Recommend
I bought these Barbells the day they were launched and couldn't be happier now that I'm using them along with my other Bowflex products to exercise at home and stay healthy and safe. I have a full gym I need at home now with these and my other Bowlex Dumbells, Kettlebells and Schwinn IC4 bike. I wish these Barbells were included in the SelectTech app workouts.
It was a gift to myself from myself, I can't wait to feel and see the transformation and gains. Not having to go to a gym is rad!
I bought the dumbbells at the beginning of the pandemic which at first did the classic thing and didn't use them yet after a year I've used them repeatedly and regularly. Now I'm on the barbell and super excited to increase my workouts with more options at home. Will be purchasing the bench and added weight soon. But must say for a parent who is at home with kids it's a great way to not miss the gym. My girlfriend loves to use them and my 6 yo son wants to become a bodybuilder. Thank you Bowflex, look forward to new additions in the future.
Little annoying to put together and adjust after setup. I've made a few adjustments so far after having a couple weeks. We do love them so far and are excited for the opportunity to purchase more equipment!
As you can see from the pictures, I am a fan of Bowflex and have many of their products. But this one is the first I've been displeased with. Frankly, the barbell by itself is largely a solid product and would warrant a good review, once it's fully assembled. But the design and assembly instructions need major overhalls. This especially applies to the stand you can optionally buy with it, which is really what deserves the 1-star review. I won't go into the full details, but one thing that drove me crazy is that I had to disassemble and reassemble it multiple times because they included different (and unhelpful) instructions for each device that you have to jump between, instead of offering self-contained instructions that say "If you also bought the stand/added weights, skip to step X" or whatever. Honestly, the assembly should have been super easy, but the instructions were so abysmal it took me several hours, when I probably could have done it in 30 minutes with adequate instructions. Also, one step of the instructions where you put the base onto the stand tells you to leave the screws loose so the base can slide, allowing you to lock the weights in place properly for the mechanism to work. The problem is, the base does not need to slide, it just needs to be in a very precise spot. It probably took me an hour fighting with it before I finally got it where the bar would set in the right spot for the weight adjustment mechanism to function, at which point I tightened the front screws to prevent it from sliding (which the instructions do not tell you to do). Post-assembly the barbell is great. The stand, combined with poor instructions, was not worth the money or hassle, and I'm tired of companies phoning in assembly instructions, so this gets 1-star. Maybe if it starts costing them money they'll put some effort into the assembly design instead of just passing the cost and frustration onto the customer.
Extremely disappointed in the lack of quality with the 2080 barbell. Metal threaded sleeves completely pulled out of bar end during assembly using tool provided in box. I own SelectTech dumbells and kettlebells and it is not the same level of quality. Not sure how these 4 threaded sleeves that pulled out so easily could possibly support the weight with the upgradable weight to 120lbs. I will be returning the barbell, extra weight and stand.
