A very powerful vacuum. It is relatively light unlike other bulky vacuum cleaners. The ease of cleaning the filtration canister is a big plus. If your looking for a powerful vacuum with ease of cleaning, at a small price, this will do the trick.
I bought this vacuum for both carpet and wood floors and it does a great job on both. It is lighter in weight than it looks which was a real plus! The attachments store easily and securely on the vacuum. I've had problems with other vacuums not having the attachments secure - which means I lose the attachments! I used the pet feature on the stairs and it was great!! The vacuum is easy to empty. The cord is perfect length... not too long to get tangles and not too short to have to move it all the time while you are using it! It worked great on my upstairs carpet and did an equally good job on the hardwoods downstairs! I really liked it!
I love how easy this is right from the box. It does really well on area rugs and picks up my dog's hair with ease. It is lightweight and the tools all live on board, which is awesome. At this price point, I doubt you'd find much better.
This is a nice little canister vacuum! PROS: *Easy assembly. Vacuum handle is pushed in and secured in place with a single screw, than you're ready to go! *Lightweight, with additional easy lift handle on the front. Helps to keep it stabilized with one hand comfortably while vacuuming stairs. *Great suction *Bright headlamp to see in dark spaces. *Good assortment of attachments. (The upholstery/stair attachment that is wind driven is great! It is also easily opened to clean out any hair or debris that may become tangled with regular use.) *Very easy to push and maneuver. *Easy access to filters and breakdown of canister for deep cleaning. CONS: *Although the “bottom empty” canister design seemed like it would be super convenient, the canister itself narrows as it goes towards the bottom. It creates a funnel effect and the contents of the canister can become trapped. If there is a good amount of dirt/fluff/pet hair in it, it will not empty upon opening the bottom. It also will not empty by tapping or shaking over garbage can when full. I end up digging out the contents—which is messy. However, frequent emptying of the canister fixes the problem, so I just recommend not waiting until it's full or had a chance to accumulate enough debris to pack it together before emptying. *The padding on the main handle was not securely attached and began to peel back after light use. There does not appear to be anything adhesive underneath, so this may just be something that was missed on the manufacturing line for a handful of vacuums and it's nothing a little superglue can't fix. *The attachments require a small connecting piece between the hose and the attachment itself. This seems unnecessary, and presents a problem if this piece is lost because the attachments will not couple with the hose without it. I've not encountered this with a vacuum before, where the attachments typically attach directly to the hose with no additional couplers needed. It's a minor thing, so long as that small part is put back every time and not misplaced. Otherwise one would have to order this part if lost to be able to continue using attachments. Overall, a great and lightweight vacuum that I enjoy using! Four stars for minor Cons listed.
We received the new upright vacuum yesterday. It arrived on the delivery date, perfectly packaged and easy to assembly. The vacuum is very light weight and easy to move which is convenient for multi-story homes. We have 4 dogs/2 cats and it did a great job on carpets and wood flooring. I would purchase this product again and recommend to anyone looking for a mid-range vacuum.
A Reliable Machine for Laminate Floors This vacuum was easy to assemble out-of-the-box, and picked up most crumbs, dirt, and pet hair on its first run through the house. Running the height adjustment at the lowest setting worked well on laminate floors, and the detachable hose was able to pick up any dirt sitting in corners or hard-to-reach areas. The suction is pretty strong and probably the best feature of this vacuum cleaner. Using the vacuum on an area rug, I noticed that the vacuum head becomes a bit unbalanced when reaching, tipping forward and sucking the rug up from the floor even after adjusting the brush height. The cord isnt extremely long, so there was a fair amount of unplugging and replugging as I made my way around the house. The canister had a pretty large volume and was easy to empty. Overall, I will continue to use this vacuum, particularly on the laminate floors. The suction is powerful, so it works well as a vacuum. There are no really stand-out features, but it accomplishes everything that a vacuum should.
Great suction, nice little vacuum EXCEPT only ONE of the tools fits the hose! The pet attachment is the only one that fits! The crevice tool, extender for the hose and the brush's fitting are the exact same size as the hose opening itself so they don't seat into each other no matter which way you try! Do they have an adapter?
Black Decker Anti-Allergen Powerful Upright Vacuum BDXURV309. Today is 6/19/22 I JUST unboxed it. It had torn packaging, scuffs and dust on the top half but still looked shiny and clean with a spotless canister, so I decided maybe the imperfections were from packaging. Besides, we needed a new vacuum ASAP. This vacuum has very weak suction compared to all our other vacuums. I tried all the height levels on my carpet, the best one was the bare floor setting and it STILL wouldn't suck everything up, even spit some crumbs back out. I had to vacuum my small living room 3 times with this vacuum and I still don't feel like it's completely clean. My last vacuum sucked up A LOT in one round but this vacuum took 3 rounds to suck up maybe half of what my last vacuum did. I tried this vacuum on my tiny kitchen floor and it sucked up a few pieces and shot the rest back at my feet, which stung by the way. After all that failure, I cleaned it out, washed the canister, disinfected it, and once the pieces are dry I'll be packing it up again and returning to the store and telling them how terrible this vacuum is. I'll probably be getting a Dyson or Hoover. I gave Black Decker a chance just to save us some money and because it had good reviews. But either those were fake reviews, paid reviews, or I got a used or dud vacuum because this vacuum was TERRIBLE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VACUUM.
Attachments won't attach to hose connector. Don't purchase!
I've ordered this specific vacuum twice. The extension hose and the attachments do not fit.
