[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had another brand's scale for over three years. It seemed strange that every time I went up or down in weight, everything else changed. I would look back a year ago and see the same weight, same percentage body fat, etc. I figured this other scale wasn't measuring, just using an algorithm based on weight. Getting this Omron scale confirmed all my suspisions. I'm so glad to final have a scale that works.

I had no problems connecting the Bluetooth. I love how I was able to scan my whole body. I could keep track of my progress on my phone via Bluetooth. The scale is the perfect size. I love the color. It is very stylish! It would compliant any decor. My pros are the functionality of the body composition and the Bluetooth. It was very easy to set up. There are no cons for me. You will not be disappointed!

You're able to set up to 4 users and 1 guest so you can keep track of changes for each person. The bluetooth connectivity is very useful and was really easy to set up with an app. I am overall pleased with this scale.
I bought the BCM-500 about a month ago. I am an older adult who is quite active. I have become enamored of tracking my statistics. I got a smartwatch. I was surprised to see my fat gain and loss and muscle gain and loss swing wildly day to day with the body composition tool on the watch. I felt I needed a second opinion on what was going on. The Omron displays a narrower range day to day, which leads me to think it is more accurate than the watch. And considering the different formats, or platforms, (pun intended), I have to believe the scale is likely to be closer to the truth. The benefit, for fat loss purposes, is that the Omron says I am fatter than does the Samsung, by 5 percent. It's discouraging, but I trust the Omron scale, and use it to guide my plan. On the downside, it hardly ever successfully transfers the reading to the app on my Android phone on the first touch. It takes some button-pushing, and some retries, but it always works eventually. I love this thing! It's really cool. I study all the figures it provides. It is a vital tool for me.
Very good scale but expensive
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good scale if you are into staying physically fit and you care to track things such as body weight, body mass index, body fat percentage, skeletal muscle percentage, and resting metabolism. If you don't really care about these things then its best to go with a different scale without as many options. All in all I like the scale. I find that it is accurate and can be set up for pounds or kilograms. The only thing that I don't like about the scale is that the extra options prevent me from just getting on the scale and measuring my weight real quick.
Construction and quality look fine. However, I bought this scale to interface with my Samsung Health application and track my weight. I use an Omron blood pressure monitor and it interfaces with my health application great, so figured the Omron scale will do the same. Wrong!, the scale will not. I have to sync it to an Omron application, then open the Samsung Health application and import the data. It is easier to manually enter my weight instead of using the Bluetooth scale.
Overall I like this product but the Bluetooth connectivity is a bit fickle. We can't get it to sync consistently to our devices especially the second user. Because if this we don't have the history or tracking we thought we would get with this scale. This is why I am only giving it 3 stars.
Just got and have spent over an hour trying to figure out how to synch with OMRON app. My blood pressure monitor synchs automatically. The scale I have to setup Bluetooth each time I want to synch. I'm hopeful I'm doing something wrong but can't find anything online to troubleshoot and fix.
I purchased this unit in Dec. 2022 - less than one year ago - and it has stopped working. I called the 1-800# to ask about the warranty. I was told to remove batteries, clean out compartment, replace the batteries - still did not turn on. My option was to pay to ship the unit back to the manufacturer and IF they determined it was defective then they would replace the unit. I asked if I would be reimbursed for the cost of shipping...."NO". So it'll cost me additional money to return a clearly defective unit to receive a replacement where the cost of returning the unit is nearly 20% of the cost of the unit. That's just bad business. I would not recommend this unit or this manufacturer!
