This dryer works for a small sized load or 8 bath towels. It has settings for everything. I'm very pleased with my purchase
This product is used in a park model vacation home. It does a great job. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I owned this model for 11 years and when it was time to purchase a new dryer, I bought the exact same model. Due to it's excellent performance, I didn't need to look for a more superior dryer.
While fitting in a small place in a small apartment, this washer/dryer holds more than twice as much laundry as the washer/dryer it replaced.
I've used the same dryer for at least 5 years. The old unit got replaced not because it was inoperative, but was actually due to a bird got into the vent and baby birds got trapped within the dryer's internal duct causing bad smell. Anyway, dryers in this size are hard to find. Dryer is easy to operate; no frills. Noise is at a reasonably low level. Could hardly hear any sound since my dryer is located in a room. Drying time could range from 40 to 60 minutes, depending on the type of fabric. Cycle time could be improved by drying similar fabric at the same time. Filter located by the door is easy to clean. I believe the quality of this new dryer is equally good.
We put this dryer in an apartment 5 years ago. Constant use. Still running great. Simple controls, simple lint filter (wish it was a bit bigger) and quiet operation. Just wish the fan had a bit more umph to force the air vertically.
The dryer works fine. It dries clothing well, but... It has no buzzer to indicate when the cycle ends. Half the time, I forget about it and find wrinkled clothes sitting in the dryer an hour or two later. Then there is the lint filter. First you must slide out a plastic piece and then remove a metal filter basket, which is a little hard to completely clear unless you use a dryer sheet to clear it out. Now lately, it is becoming increasingly hard to open the door. You must tug with all your might.
We bought this a month ago and it sounded strange at the beginning with a scraping sound but it was working. Two weeks later it was scraping itself apart. When repaired under warranty, they found that the blower was incorrectly installed at the factory and was scraping the walls with a massive screeching sound. As told to me, this is not unusual for this product. Disappointing to see this happening to GE.
I live in an apartment and this dryer was provided and is brand new. It's Horrible. Clothes actually come out wrinkled, even POLYESTER. It's really hard to wrinkle polyester. Just ridiculous. I've tried all the tricks and nothing gets the wrinkles out except ironing. I haven't had to iron my clothes in 15 years! I've old dryers in the past that were way better!! Now I have too purchase my own dryer and rest assured it won't be GE
Bought this dryer to replace a 30 year old GE of same design. Installed the new dryer. Motor works fine BUT the sound of the drum rubbing against the wall of the dryer is alarming. The drum is not sitting properly. What is the problem? Is it repairable?
