I buy this to give my dog medicine. She won't take the pill pockets, she can find a pill in a hotdog (because her mouth is small) so after grinding up a hotdog, I thought this would be a better alternative, and it works. I give her a small amount, about the size of a pea, then the same size with her med in it, followed immediately with another pea size. Note that she's not getting this daily, I use it for when she's ill. I grew up on this stuff, and it is handy to have around for an emergency kit, etc. It's high in salt, so you wouldn't want this daily, but it is tasty.
Always great to have at home, for a quick snack or as a meal. Armour potted meat is great on a sandwich, crackers, or just on its own...Always puts a smile on my face & all my family
I need these two items just something quick to have for the next couple days and Walmart always quick and easy to get into specially, with the self check out, so yeah matter fact tonight I'm eating eating another meat sandwich
This potted meat really is so yummy, especially if you love overly salty mushy things. Armour really outdid themselves in this stuff. I'm not sure what part of which animal this is made from but it's so tasty I almost don't care. Must. Have. More. Potted. Meat.
just as expected; 6 cans same size as normally purchased in-store just delivered to my front door. Only problem little package came in a big box that could have held 10 boxes or more and was filled the rest of the ways with rolled and crushed brown wrapping paper. Such a waste of space in shipping and in the use of materials (i.e. the trees that were cut for the paper). Thank-goodness I have some use for it. Paper makes great drawing medium for the grandkids and for my paint dabbling, it can be used to absorb grease when frying food, wrapping and covering cans or boxes for mailing, and as a walking mat for rainy days over my carpet. The box became a play-car for the neighborhood kids.
The taste is great, but it does not taste like it used to. Just barely enough for a sandwich and is a little too moist. Sandwich has to be eaten right away or bread will soak.
Hormel was always the best but it seems like all brands but Armour have disappeared from the market, just about anywhere. In turn, I used to hate the Armour because it was really slimy. But now they seem to have modified the formula and it's reasonably decent. It's nice to have on hand for a quick no-carb high protein snack or meal or even a fast breakfast. It really came in handy when someone here couldn't have any solid foods that required chewing. A little hot sauce into a can of this and stirred around and it was palatable with a demitasse spoon.
I like the product, but I think if you can look at my orginal order, I ordered 6. I have checked my order and I distinctly ordered 6. I would be stupid to order 1 little can to be shipped through the mail.
It was so salty and disgusting. I can't get the taste out of my mouth. I tried it because I had oral surgery and I'm on a soft diet. The dentist said I needed protein in order to heal. Sooo...I remember having deviled ham as a child and I think I liked it then. But yuck. Is this the same as deviled ham??
