I love everything about this stake. It's inexpensive enough that I can buy several. My dog is a medium weight dog, but she's strong. Those corkscrew tie-outs weren't nearly strong enough. These hammer down into the ground. They aren't going anywhere. They hammer down low enough that they don't interfere with mowing, either. They're exactly what I needed. I bought one to try it out. I was so impressed with it that I bought 2 more so I could have them in various places in the yard.
Using this post for my almost 2 yr old Bernese Mtn dog for outside time and it works. Easy to hammer into the ground and has the rotation ring. My dog is under 100 lbs by a tad and not a crazy obnoxious dog so it works.
I received this steak and put it in the ground for a pet sitting job. One of the dogs this year decided that he could go through the wrought iron fencing and was running around the neighborhood. at first I said up a line with a leash attached but that didn't work. So then I thought about an inground stake. I was able to attach the lead to it and he is able to go around the yard now. it seems very sturdy and I like that the top spins around so the dog can go in a circle if needed. I'm very pleased and would recommend.
We like these ones better because they're easier to hammer in the ground and our dogs are so strong they end up pulling the twist ones out the ground.
I'm glad its a stake for dogs, I don't think I could chew it, oh wait, not that kind of steak. This one is not as convenient as the screw in type, but I didn't want something sticking up so far out of the ground, so this one is better at that, plus the cable won't get caught on this one like ones with bigger heads sticking out of the ground.
did not work for my 65 pound pit
Broke from my chow in 3 days so I don't recommend this product
Just to let you guy know, I was able to use it from 2 month puppy to 4 month, till he kept jerking it till he bent it and was able to pull otta the ground.
The ring broke not even a whole month into using it.
Ive had it for a year now and my fat little 50lb Australian Cattle Dog ripped the metal off of the weld. Not very happy with this.
