My mom bought me this sò I could go exploring but not become roadkill. I would rather go exploring far into the fields up the road than have this noose around my neck. But you know moms. She says, "You're only 5 little pounds! I need to protect you!" But I could take on the big metal moving things and chew them to a pulp! Whatevs. It's comfortable enough
I received this product in exchange for my honest review through the SparkReviewer program. I have a chihuahua so he is not even close to the maximum size for this so I cannot speak about how strong this is because he cant pull much. The maximum size for this one is 250 pounds so it can hold some pretty large dogs back. This is a pretty long tie out. 25 feet to be exact which is a pretty nice length for any dog to have fun. My dog is able to pretty much go where he wants to. I would suspect that after some time the metal clasp could rust or the vinyl would break just after being exposed to the elements but that has not happened yet. My dog loved thinking that he was free to do as he pleased. I would recommend this to pet owners.
This is one of the nicest tie-outs we have used! It is a heavy duty tie-out and very thick. We are using this for our husky and he always seemed to find a way to break his other tie-outs in all sorts of ways...either the clip would break off or the cord itself would snap, but we've been using this one for over a week now and have not had a single problem out of it. Would definitely recommend!
This is the best tie-out cable I have EVER used and it is amazing! I love that this is covered in what I think is a rubber coating which makes it easier to wind up and easy that my dogs don't get their nails or coat snagged. It is very well thought out in workmanship and quality!
I’ve been using this cable for a few weeks now. I’m pleased with the strength and quality of the materials. The cable is light weight yet strong enough to control my 60 lb Labrador. I love that I can clip it to a stationary item. Other cable chains you need to pound or screw into the ground. We live in the desert and the ground can be quite firm. My dog loves to be outside with my husband while he’s working. But if a rabbit or quail comes by he’s off. This keeps him under control yet gives him the freedom to wander within a 25 foot radius. The cable has a thick covering so should withstand the heat and sun we experience. I feel confident that he can’t get out in the street. I received this product as part of the Walmart Sparkreviewer program. I would buy this item based on the quality of materials and design
My dad recently got a puppy who is 5 months old and 50 pounds so far. She has been difficult to train and we needed a way to keep her in the yard for some outdoor time. This cable is perfect for what we need. This cable is 25' long and connects to a tie out stake in the yard. The connectors spin 360 degrees so your pet can not get tangled while running. The cable is tested up to 90 pounds so she has room to grow. She loves running in circles and this gives her some much needed exercise safely. Definitely recommend
Perfect size tie out for our 60lb. pup. We don't normally use any sort of tie-out and just let her roam free outside, but this has been wonderful to have while we're cleaning out the chicken coop and chicken run and it keeps her from getting too close to the hens. Strong, extremely easy to clip onto her collar, and great to have the 90lb weight for her.
I bought this the day before yesterday and it broke today on the end not attached to my dog. Threw the packaging away so unlikely I can return it but it is rated for well over her weight and still broke when she went to chase something.
I loved the idea of it but latches were smaller compared to my 10' line. Latch snapped 2nd time I used it with my 55lbs husky when she saw a cat walking in the other yard. Thankfully I saw the whole thing unfold and got to her in time. No animals were harmed but definitely would NOT recommend if you have a dog that pulls at all. DO NOT BUY!!! Both my dogs have snapped 6 of these of all different lb ratings way larger than their weight. I’ve lost both my dogs because the cables have broken down so bad and broke!!! They only last 2 weeks max
