I am very happy with this label printer. I am by no means someone who is at all computer savvy. I thought that I'd attempt to hook it up myself. But I had my son-in-law on standby to come over to do it when I failed. Much to my surprise, I was able to complete the connection with out any problems. It works great!
I use the label printer daily for address labels. Every time I write a letter, cover letter for report distribution, etc. I am an avid gunsmith as a hobby. I label everything.
I have had the QL-500 for several years and it is a very dependable printer. I don't print a lot of labels, but enough to give it a workout. It's print is very clear, it never jams, and the Windows app is easy to use
It's the perfect solution we were looking for, we use it to print our logo for the paper bags, and for the tag prices in our gallery, it looks professional, we love it. It's very affordable and easy to use, the program to create the message is great. Thank you, we definitely recommend it.
Great product, easy to use, letters adapt to the margins themselves while you are typing... this is the first time i am using this kind of device and i am satisfied with the product
I own or managed about 4 of these printers. The printers are excellent, not so the supplies. Labels do not always stick well on a variety of normal surfaces, new cardboard boxes, envelopes etc. If the surface has ANY texture to it, you will likely have the label lift at the edges or come off. I contacted support several times and worked with Tyrone. Even sent samples of the materials being used as well as label samples. After many weeks of waiting I contacted them again, they were going to ship out two rolls of labels as a replacement. Never received anything. Bottom line: Excellent printer, poor label adhesive and really lousy support staff.
I have used Seiko label printers for years - very good. I took a chance on a Brother 500. It is fast but the software is a mess and it does not print postal scanner codes. Too bad.
When I first got this printer everything worked fine. With any newer version of Windows, the updated driver does not work. I have tried downloading everything I can find to make it work. No luck. I would not buy this printer again since I am unable to update it.
I bought this to use in my office. It supposedly interfaced with my work computer so I could print labels. I spent 2.5 hours trying to get the software to download onto my system (PC) and it didn't work. I got fed up and gave up for the day. The next morning I called customer support. That's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back. They had me repeat the same procedure 3 or 4 times. We ended up getting disconnected and they never called back so I boxed it back up, uninstalled everything that had installed and shipped it back. A week later I got an email from Brother. I opted out of their email updates and gave them the reason why. I then proceeded to get an email every week from them, each time opting out of the emails with the reason why. Today they send me this to review. Really!!
I think the update system is the most confusing software update I have ever run. When I get a notice of an update the process to update my Model in my opinion is to complex. I have stopped trying to update.
