Great sound and perfect for something so small. Always handy to have. Make sure you buy 2 AA batteries to use it.
Smaller than i expected, 4.5 x 2.5 x 1.25. well made, sounds good, uses 2 AA Batteries, The Box says it'll operate 94 hours on fresh batteries. has a headphone jack for single earphone or stereo headphones, only mono sound. Great addition to have in your Emergency Hurricane supply kit.
Actually I bought this battery portable radio as an emergency if we were to have an earthquake or lost electricity! But I am using it right now because it is small, sounds good and fits anywhere even in my pockets while I cook, do the dishes or water the plants.
The radio works great but it is very tinny-sounding - it is also smaller than the last Sony Transistor radio I bought that was made in 1983. Volume button, tuner, and on/off are all on separate buttons. It is made of 100% black plastic - no metal, except for the antenna. I like this radio and I got it for emergencies and times when there is no power, etc. Well worth the money.
well I like the radio itself especially with the extended antenna to get better coverage, dislike the fact that it said it will come with headphones and it did not have the headphones .
I expected better quality from SONY. The audio is fine until you plug in your earphones, then it diminishes greatly (which may be a safety measure to protect the eardrums), making what you're listening to rather hard to hear. Also, opening the battery storage compartment is challenging.
It works for what you need it to, but finding a specific station and not having any interference with static can be stuff. It's not super loud but not quiet either, it's good for drive in movies for couples but would recommend something louder if you had kids as well
I bought this to use in my shop when working on the car I am rebuilding and the reception is spotty and the volume is not loud enough to hear over the sound of a box fan.
Doesn't live up to the SONY name, very disappointed. I bought this radio to listen to at work, because we can't have any cellphones. The thing only picks up two random channels at my job and they're basically static 70% of the time.
It's a perfect size just what I was looking for. But unfortunately the signal is not good, almost nonexistent. I couldn't find one channel where the sound was clear. It's possible that it's the location of my home. I haven't really checked it elsewhere because that's where I want to use it. I will return it and try something else.
