I bought a cheaper carseat for my daughter from walmart , left it in someone's car and I decided to spend the money and buy this one to replace it. It is so comfortable and snuggly for smaller toddlers , my daughter is 2yrs but very small this is the perfect grow with me stroller
I love it so much! its like a recliner for my sweet girl! she seems to like it a lot better than the infant seat and she doesnt get as cranky! Ive always loved safety 1st products!
We haven't hooked it up in the car yet but my baby has sat in it to adjust straps and all that, she seemed very comfortable in it, it was very easy to take the padding off to wash, it's simple enough to put back together too. I will update my review once we put it in the car and go for a ride.
The Safety 1st convertible car seat has pleasantly surprised me with how safe and durable it is! It is a great car seat for children from birth to 5-6 years old. Our toddler fits perfectly, we don't need to unbuckle the whole car seat just to adjust headwings. Harness covers (provided) are nice but they come off easily. Keep an eye on your toddler's height and weight because some babies outgrow rearfacing mode before they are 2 years old. Forward facingand booster modes are great too! My 7 year old still fit in harness, and I loved that she is safe. Bottom line is -- this is a great car seat that will safely get your baby through car seat stages.
I just had my 4th baby back in September and as I have learned over the years, babies quickly outgrow the infant car seats. Usually about the time my babies start sitting up on their own is whenever they have already reached the weight limit on the infant car seats. I could not wait to get this installed in my van and know that it would help protect my baby if we were to ever be in an accident. This car seat can be used for 3 different stages, including newborns all the way up to whenever your child would usually start school. This car seat can be used rear-facing for babies/toddlers in weight from 5 pounds all the way up to 40 pounds. This car seat also comes with 2 pillows to use for newborns, which can easily be removed later once they have outgrown them. Once your child has reached 40 pounds, you can simply switch the car seat to forward-facing and it will accommodate children up to 65 pounds. The "QuickFit Harness" easily lets you adjust the height of the headrest, as well as the harness at the same time, which is great whenever you are in a hurry to get somewhere. Once your child is ready to use the actual vehicle seat belts, this car seat converts into a booster seat, simply by removing the harness.The booster seat can then be used for children ranging from 40-100 pounds. This car seat includes 2 removable, dishwasher-safe cup holders, which are great at placing sippy cups and even snacks for any busy, on-the-go family. The car seat covers are also easily removed and are both washer and dryer safe, because as any parent soon finds out, messes are bound to happen, rather it be from a newborn spitting up, to a toddler with a leaky sippy cup or even a young child with snack crumbs. This car seat is built to grow with your child and as a mom, I love all the safety aspects this car seat has to offer. This car seat has side impact protection and there is even a way to recline the seat in 3 different positions to better accommodate any vehicle/child. My absolute favorite thing about this car seat is the harness holders. It helps me get my child in and out quickly by keeping the harness in an open position until I am ready to buckle him in. I love the overall design and color of this car seat and I think it will last my child many, many years. Overall, I am completely satisfied with this car seat and I would most definitely recommend it to other parents.
Love this seat! It's super easy to adjust to different positions. It's a pain to move back and forth, so if you'll be using two cars I'd suggest getting two seats. We got this a couple weeks ago, and my daughter loves it. It look comfier than her usual infant seat, so I can see why it put her to sleep faster. My daughter is 8 months and can sit unassisted, but I felt a little insecure using position 2 for her instead of 3(3 is reclined like an infant seat while 2 is slightly reclined).
One year old fits comfortably. Seems to really enjoy her new seat. Sturdy and safe. For whatever reason, this seat did not come in its own packaging, with insulation for travel and delivery. It was just thrown in a box. Which caused some cosmetic damage. In addition to that, the buckles on the harness were installed improperly. We had to remove and re-do. It just isnt worth all of the aggravation to send things back anymore. I think companies realize that, which is why THEY EITHER SEND THE WRONG PRODUCT OR A DAMAGED PRODUCT.
The car set itself is fine, it's the constant annoying rattle the handles to adjust the back up/down make the whole time the car is going. We bought this to have when we have our grandson. I think he's used it twice since Nov 22. We keep it in the car because it's just easier which means we have to hear this annoying rattle almost daily. Wish there was a way to fix.
I dont know if its me but still I cannot find a comfortable position for my baby on this car seat... its too up right, soo bulky, we always have to push the seat up. It has levels you can adjust but I have seen other kids with friendlier car seats, easier, less bulky I personally dont like that the lever to adjust it is in the front. With a rear facing baby the lever end up being against the seat and hard to reach so youve got to unbuckle, adjust then put everything back. So, i know some people like that the cup holders are removable for easy cleaning but i find it pointless - We actually flew away for the holidays and the airline some how undid the cup holders and lost them... i hate that they are removable lol now i have a carseat with small holes in the cup holders and my child will get everything stuck in there (crayons, snacks.... you cant get it out...)
When I receive the package, the box was crushed basically opened already! I got this as a gift for my niece that will be here soon and now I'm worried that it could be somehow damaged, it doesn't look like it but still! I'm very disappointed about the packaging overall and what seems to be how it was handled
