I have never used the Printable fabric - but I used it to put photos on a quilt and it came out really great. It was easy to use
Best quality on the market as far as I have found.
Avery's Printable Fabric Sheets are the best to use on dark fabrics, it's long lasting and is a great way to design your own sweatshirts, t-shirts, jeans and most items. You can iron directly on the face of your design, no turning your item to the wrong side and no sticking to your iron. The sheets are made of cotton.
Our church quilting group uses these labels on quilts that we give away. These labels are the best for ironing on the quilts. Tried other brands and they didn't work at all. Couldn't live without the Avery labels.
I have searched for this product on many of the big name office supply stores and no one but Walmart has this. I love this item! Doesn't get stuck in the printer, prints clear and my image pictures are clear and sharp so that I can cut the image without guessing where the edge is. I also love that the iron backing makes for a clean edge without fraying. I have cut letters in intricate fonts without a problem. Definitely recommend!
Did exactly what I wanted it to do for my photo quilt.
I'm wild about this stuff, I was a bit iffy at first, but you can use craft hand punches on it. Which means that you can create a bunch of perfectly round patches to promote things or to customize your crafts. The glue on the back makes the fabric stiff enough to punch nice and cleanly. Then you just use a hot iron to apply the patch. Colors print nice and true. I've used this to make patches for my son's canvas messenger bag and to make fan patches for things for my daughter. A sharp needle will go through it easily so you can add embroidered details.
This printable fabric is easy for the beginning user to work with. It pulls easily through the home printer with no glitches. After a little trial and error, I found that setting the color saturation on my printer to the brightest color setting gave me a much richer graphic representation (I did not try it with a photo). The only drawback is that the finished product is quite stiff, making it a bit bulky for use as a label on handmade items. I also would have preferred to have the option of buying this product without the iron-on backing for sewing use. I did wash the finished item on warm gentle cycle and didnt notice any fading, so it is likely safe for washable projects.
I use them to make memory pillows, calenders and stuff. Like them ok.
We printed photos on the printable fabric and then ironed them onto fabric squares for memory quilts for my terminally ill brother and the pictures started coming off the fabric squares within a couple weeks. The quilts have hardly been used and haven't been washed. We have no way of adhering the photos back onto the fabric squares because the quilt is completed. It's embarrassing when people look at the quilts and ooh and aahh over them, and then they see our squares falling apart. There were no issues printing photos onto the fabric or ironing them onto the squares. They just didn't stay. Some memory.
