We had a 65"flat smart tv already, but we heard so much about the new ultra 4k and the QLED, honestly didn't think much about buying newer and it be *all that* -- it is! Great picture, can see the difference, sound goes up and down automatically if something gets louder in the house, so you can hear but right back down fast before you even realize lol Looks SO nice! Absolutely a great buy too!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Samsung Q80T QLED TV 75" 4K QN75Q80TAFXZA is amazing. It has a crystal clear picture that really exceeded my expectations. The sound is really top notch. The sound projects far across our 2 story living room and gives you a full movie theater feel. There is also a gaming mode which has a higher FPS giving you an edge in any game you play. There is even an optional feature that auto selects the brightness depending on the room lighting. The Q80T is also equipped with tons of apps to select from. In addition it has an ambient mode allowing you to chose from many relaxing scenes that can be dimmed with the touch of a button to let you relax comfortably. The nearly edgeless frame combined with the wall mimicking ambient mode allows the television to blend in nearly seamlessly. I am beyond impressed with the Q80T. Movie night is now every night!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off let me state I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion, and with that out of the way...WOW!!! When my husband mentioned about bringing a new TV in the house, I did the gratuitous eye roll. I mean, what could or does this TV do any better than the previous TV's we had? Well that was answered quite quickly when he fired up the Xbox One X with a 4K Blue Ray. All I can say is WOW!!! This TV is amazing! The setup up was amazingly easy, but I would advise having two people to unpack the TV because it is quite a tedious task. The colors were vibrant and the sound was amazing by itself, but when the m650 soundbar was included it put it over the top! The Ultra Viewing Angles were a very understated improvement as well. Previously I would have problems sitting on my love seat watching TV ant angle, but this new feature allows for me sit at different angles in my room and not miss a pixel! No degradation in color and minimal glare. The features that were included on the Q80T are what really excited me about the TV. Samsung has implemented Samsung Health into the TV to pair with all samsung devices (I have a Note 10+) and it is the feature I never knew I needed. To be able to do all my exercises on the TV rather than stream from my phone is invaluable. And it allows for me to see all my vitals as well. Another great feature is the Samsung TV Plus which gives us free cable-like stations, a great feature as well. I honestly couldn't be happier with this TV, and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in a full entertainment experience!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV has everything you could possibly want in a TV. It was very easy to download apps and even came with some pre-installed. It was quick and simple to setup the TV and went step by step with you to set it up. I love the Amazon Alexa feature as well. I can listen to music or watch my Amazon shows with a click of a button. The picture is very clear and absolutely beautiful color. The TV has excellent sound. It's like being in a movie theater! I'm absolutely in love with this TV!
i did extensive research and decided on the samsung q80t. at this price point it's supposed to be best for handling reflections and great out of the box color accuracy. the color is great, however the screen reflections have me contemplating returning the tv. i have windows to the side/behind the tv, and yes you can kind of see them but the issue lies with the overhead canned lights in the room. when those lights are on, the tv splits these reflections into rainbow strips across the screen, which is so distracting it makes you have to turn out all the lights to watch tv at any time of the day. this is quite disappointing. i still have some time to return it in order to see if the lastest vizio quantum x is better in terms of reflection handling. i wish this tv was better at this price.
This is a truly beautiful HD QLED TV and I hate being negative about it at al, but this is the reality of the situation. The picture is nothing sort of stunning and with some simple tweaks to one's preference (I recommend Movie Mode, Warm 1, and Auto on Sharpness), it is easily the best I have ever owned, or seen in person. Now, the Samsung app dock has Amazon Prime and that is important because they have made Ultra HD content (HDR 10 ) available now. To truly get the full effect of this TV, you have to buy Ultra HD HDMI cables (yes, it is true, all HDMI cables are no longer equivalent), but they are not too expensive - and wow, it really looks fantastic using that on Amazon Prime. Sadly, here is the rub on this TV. Within 10 days of owning it, a grayish black patch of pixels appeared at the top of the screen, indicative of some form of backlight or display issue. This was hard to see until you had a lighter background, but once I knew it was there, I couldn't stop looking at it. Moreover, it seemed to be getting worse and was "spreading" horizontally over time. To the credit of Walmart CS, with no questions asked, they are replacing the TV and even sent a freight company to pick it up and package it since I already had recycled the box. Moreover, for my inconvenience of not having a TV that I paid for already for at least a week, they refunded me $100 on my purchase (which was already highly discounted). So, all I can say it that this QLED TV is worth every penny I spent on it, as it is a remarkably gorgeous picture (we pipe sound is through a Q70 SoundBar with Dolby Atmos - also a strong recommendation), as long as this display problem is not something that crops up repeatedly or over time. Unfortunately, I have seen many examples online of the same issue and it need not be at the top of the screen, so there are definitely some quality control issues at the factory that need to be addressed. Just be aware Walmart seems ready to standby your purchase in a professional manner. Fingers crossed for our replacement!
First of all, I picked this TV because of reviews and my prior experience with Samsung TVs. This pretty expensive TV had an amazing picture...until it didn't. I purchased my TV in November, 2020. Within 90 days after purchase, a very noticeable white vertical line appeared about 1.5" from the top of the unit. This line would not go away. Because the set was only a couple months old, it was under warranty. I set up a repair and the contracted repair workers came out, took a quick look at said the panel is bad but they didn't have one one them (trip 1). The following week the contractors came back with a panel...that didn't work (trip 2). They ordered another panel and returned the following week (trip 3). Guess what? That panel didn't work. After two tries, they called Samsung to find out, they were sent the wrong panels. So, they ordered the correct panel. A week later (trip 4), a different worker from the same contracted repair shop came and that panel failed. I am now awaiting a fifth trip from a repair shop to fix an $1,100 TV that developed a problem within the first 90 days. While the picture is beautiful, if I could go back in time, I would NOT buy this make and model.
i purchased this tv on black friday in 2020. but after couple of months, the screen started showing a line. i thought with time, it will fade away, but it did not. it is annoying. i like the sound of the tv though. but overall, i am disappointed. this was my first tv i had ever purchased after saving money. it was a surprise gift for my family.
i researched tv's for quite awhile before picking this one. it replaced a samsung un50js7000 which was a great tv but i wanted to upgrade in size. after installing this tv i noticed the glare from the lights on the screen, as noted in the accompanying photo. when you turn the tv on the glare doesn't disappear, it's lighter on the bright colors but very noticeable on the dark colors. i can't even comment on how good the picture is because i'm distracted by the glare lines. the only way to get rid of them is to watch the tv in the dark which i hate to do. please carefully consider the lighting in the room before purchasing this tv.
Samsung keeps moderating my reviews and taking them down so Ill just leave the pics to prove my point. Done with Samsung for good after this.
