I am using this register for our service club fundraiser which is selling Christmas trees (755). With 11 weekly shifts manned by volunteers young and old, I needed a register that was easy to program and easy for our members to use. The prior register I had was also a Royal. This is a step up with the scrolling customer message and the customized printed receipt. Also, very easy to install receipt paper. I don't really use the reports so I can't comment on them. Exactly what I was looking for!
The cash register works great for our business and fulfills our expectations. Very simple to program and easy to train employees how to use. Good product for the money.
This cash register is easy to use and a great value. I use the register at my concession stand with great results.
This product does not meet all my expectations, it exceeds them. Aside from being very user-friendly and simple to operate, it allows me to track my sales in each category, making inventory and ordering less complicated. Having the Walmart satisfaction-guarantee gave me the confidence to try it out. I would definitely recommend this for anyone with a small business.
This machine is just what we wanted. I like the fast printing feature and the ability to put company messages on the tape with ease, there was a bit of a learning curve though. I would recommend this to any small business.
Great little machine for the dollars. Runs quiet and gets alot of use in our Pizza Place.
Used the Royal 701 for 8 years. I hope that this one will last just as long.
I give this three stars because it is a little difficult to setup and the display is a little hard to read if your counter is high like at my store.
The paper feed is aggravating. The paper gets out of whack when you tear off the receipt and you have to open it again to fix it. Also,the display that shows the purchase amount goes off rather quickly. My credit card machine is not tied to the cash register so this can also be aggravating.
Very difficult to use, had to go on you tube to figure out the basic functions to complete a sale. Very difficult to program needed info (Date/Time, etc). Also difficult to figure out how to program the scanner PLU codes.
