This great lighter is made by Zippo. One can spend $50 easily on a fancy name brand torch, but why? This thing works great and will last a very long time. Instead of spending money on expensive lighter, get this one and spend the extra few bucks on clean Xikar fuel and be much better off.
I bought one of these to thaw frozen locks. it has provided many years of service and still works great. Nice slim durable design. Also the torch end emits a blue flame that is much larger than what you can see. Don't try and adjust the flame like the bad reviews have. This lighter wasn't made to be adjusted.
best refillable butane lighter for the money period. if you knowbhownto use a refillable butane lighter... this purchase is a no brainer. I've spent hundreds on lighters for my cigars. these are my go to. cant go wrong with a Ronson.
Great lighter and good price. Only issue I have ever had was related to Fuel. If after refilling the lighter and it doesn't light and you can hear gas and see a spark you might need to bleed out the fuel. I have been using super cheap butane refill cans and it puts a lot of propellant in the lighter. The lighter can't light the propellant so the lighter appears to stop working. Once you bleed off the gas/propellant and refill it the lighter starts working again. Also check your adjustment screw too high or too low and it won't work. You can be cheap and buy cheap fuel (like me) and just deal fix it each time, or buy quality fuel and fix it less. You can also buy an adapter to refill these lighters with the butane canister fuel (used for small camp stoves) which is a better grade of fuel or you can get a cheaper brand as well.
My initial experience with the Jetlite was like mediocre with similar complaints others have made. The upshot was when they no longer worked, the valve could be salvaged. Using a 3.5mm drill bit, an empty Bic becomes a refillable Bic. One day I did a search on YouTube and found several interesting mods that take the Jetlite to the next level. Remove a screw and two pins(never, ever remove the one on the lid hinge) one has the ability to remove a few parts that allow the flame to increase immensely and soften the button so much so that a baby could light it. Take care to not drop the disk underneath the piezo, as it is requied for it to arc. Late models seem to have the inspectors inimtial sticker over the port, preventing this from being an issue. Upon opening, note or photograph the proper positioning of the piezo wire as this seems to be the number one reason for failure. Also, using a fine wire, like a single strand of 12 Awg, clean each hole of the nozzle. Blow it out by comressed air or lung power. The only other failure I know of is any damage to the insulating ceramic cup will make the arc shoot everywhere but wherebit needs to. Glue broken piece back, fabricate with JB Weld or get one from your salvage box of Ronson Jetlite parts you now keep. Why keep the parts, you say?Because friend, you will never have need for any other lighter than a Ronson Jetlite.
Best cigar lighter I have found, by far outlasted one that I paid almost $100 for and that had a "lifetime guarantee". Been looking for replacements to no avail, after 2 yrs or so they are starting to fail. By comparison, the $100 lighter began to fail after the 2nd refill. Note: you have to fully empty the lighter before refilling.
Overall the lighter has some weight to it, is made of metal and feels good to hold. The button to ignite the flame has a fairly heavy spring but I got used to it. For the low price it is a really good value. I would not hesitate to recommend this lighter.
Best lighter on market- just check reviews! so what does @walmart do... quit carrying them 🙄🥲
Good , wish Walmart stores carry this again !
First lighter purchased worked great for about 3 months. Then after adjusting the flame height the ignitor still worked but it would only light after 10 - 15 tries. Like it for the price so I purchased a second. Even after adding butane it would never light. Returned
