I love this book because it's jam-packed with hundreds of curriculum-based activities, exercises and games in every subject, " "Brain Quest Grade 3 Workbook" "reinforces what kids are learning in the classroom. The workbook's lively layout and easy-to-follow explanations make learning fun, interactive, and concrete. Plus it's written to help parents follow and explain key concepts. Includes spelling and vocabulary, parts of speech, reading comprehension, odds and evens, magic squares, multiplication tables, Brain Boxes, and much more. My daughter just got done with this book to help her prepare for third grade this Fall and it's correlated to state standards.
We love love these. They have the perfect amounts of different subjects that follow curriculum and are interesting and fun for our kids...They usually end up doing far more in a sitting than requested.
During this time of isolation, I have been able to see my grandson everyday. He has a book and I have a book so we are working together through Facetime to go through the book since school is now online for him. We are enjoying our time together and he is learning a lot. The workbook has lots of fun activities.
This workbook is great includes every subject needed to succeed in 3rd grade.
This is a great workbook. I got it for my son summer of 2018. I felt bad because I cant believe I expected my son to finish by end of summer. Poor kid but hey he didnt have any trouble entering 3rd grade. This 2019 I have the summer workbook for 3rd to 4th it is a much smaller book and a realistic goal to finish by end of summer.
We purchased this to use as a short, daily refresher during the summer. We went up a grade and it is about right with the exception of a couple of concepts (percents). It is colorful and has nice short exercises that can be completed independently and without frustration. I compared this to the summer-specific workbooks for between grades and ended up selecting this one because it had a higher quality of work and more of it. I would rather have more options for the kids to do and not need it. I would highly recommend this workbook for a fun, no pressure approach to keeping the kids sharp even during the summer months.
I love these books. I use them to homeschool my son so he has both internet work and hand work to do. Always great with Brain Quest.
Large print, nicely arranged, easy to navigate and understand exercises (don't have to be a teacher). It's a great tool to help my little one to learn beyond the school walls.
These are great for homeschooling but there are not a lot of pages of science and social studies. Other than that they are worth the purchase.
It's a great workbook for studying. This is not a substitute for at homeschool or in school teaching. It does have helpful brain boxes and examples on most subjects. It does help you find your child's strengths and struggles. Very helpful book for studying and strengthening skills.
