I take heartburn meds from the Doc. But I still have horrific heartburn. It depends on what I eat. I wake up at night and the fiery gas is coming up my throat. And acid comes into my mouth. It sucks but these lovely tablets stop the acid, and fiery gas in my throat. The worst time I had my whole chest on fire. It took all I had to stop the fire. I did not have these great little tablets. I am never without them now. I order them 8 at a time so I never run out! I cannot live without them.
I suffer from extremely painful heartburn. I typically drink Mylanta the Vanilla Caramel one like water!! While it's SO much more tasty than the regular, or other flavors, it's still Mylanta. Rolaids are like chewing slightly flavored chalk. Pepto never works. And even just Alka-Seltzer doesn't really work for me either. I stumbled upon this gum a week ago and I am SO thankfully happy I did! My heartburn has (honestly) lessened, and if that weren't reason enough, I gotta tell ya; these things are actually GOOD! Like, they taste like regular gum!! There is a slight and I mean SLIGHT “chalkiness” for the first free seconds, but then it's gone! And tbh even the slight chalkiness isn't bad at all! I eat the two ways. Sometimes I suck on it until the “hard part” is gone and then I chew it. Or, I just chew it Immediately. I have found that sucking on it makes it work better (for me at least). If you suffer from heartburn, GERD, Acid Reflux or ulcers, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, GET THEM! You'll be glad you do! Good luck! -Laura B
