I used to only buy one brand of dish soap because it was well-known for cutting grease on dishes. It always worked well so I had a whole pantry full of the stuff. But when my son was born, I started to think about all of the ingredients in the soap that would be transferred to his bottles and the breast pump pieces and I grew concerned. I spoke to a friend and switched to Seventh Gen dish liquid and I'm so happy. I love the lemon scent and I'm amazed that the dishes come out clean with no grease or residue. I ended up donating my old stock pile to our animal shelter and now I'm starting a new stock pile of Seventh Gen!
I love Seventh Generation products! The fresh scent of this one reminds me of fruit every time I wash dishes and it's so gentle on the hands. No rubber gloves for washing the dishes any more.
I have animals and I find this to be a great product to bathe and wash them with, especially my reptiles because they are sensitive to a lot of additives in soaps, such as artificial fragrances. This does not harm them at all, even to ingest due to the dye and fragrance free plant based ingredients. I do still use this as dish washing soap for my dishes and it works great.
I received this free sample of Seventh generation dish washing liquid. And I used it and I really liked it. It does clean my dishes very good.
I got this Dish soap 100% FREE by the Generation Good Community. I love it 95% Bio-Plant Based and every gentle on the hands as washing dishes. It also cleans my dishes very well and leaves it with a ni e crisp Orchad Scent of CLEAN! I will buy this more often! Thank you so much Generation Good! #ad #freesample
I love this combo of Seventh Generation free and clear dish soap and the Seventh Generation chlorine free bleach. No stuck on food stands a chance with this soap and then i add a couple tablespoons of bleach to kill even more germs! Tough on grease and easy on my hands. ♥
I purchase Seventh Generation dish soap and products because the lean toward the most and the best natural products to do the job without adding more chemicals to your body and life. I tend to use more to get the suds i like than like with traditional Dawn. Overall a very good product, especially, for rinsing off and away any chemicals.
I bought 7th generation, thinking it would be better than Dawn or Palmolive because it is more natural. Well, I had patch testing done because I was having atopic dermatitis and it revealed that I am allergic to Methylisothiazolinone. My dermatologist said that a lot more people are becoming allergic to this synthetic preservative. Seventh Generation - you should look into this!
My wife and I have been using this product for 3 weeks to clean baby bottles and nursing supplies. I have had a very dramatic sensitivity to fragrances as propylene glycol in the past, so this seemed like a good product to try. However, after using this product for 3 weeks, my hands began to erupt with blisters and this can only be attributed to this product, as no other products in our home have changed. We use non fragrance laundry detergent, non fragrance soap and shampoo, and I use no other cleaning products without glove on my hands. The synthetic preservatives are most likely to blame, but I am performing a path test to determine this for sure. I assume that this product would be fine for most people out there - but if you have a high sensitivity to propylene glycol, I'd would stay far away from this product. Very disappointing. We will stay on the lookout for something that is truly allergy-free. In the meantime, I have to now manage this breakout to keep it in check - which could take weeks or months.
I'm also finding a greasy residue on items washed with this soap, despite copious rinsing with water. It happens most noticeably with metal-ware. After boiling tea in a stainless steel pot washed with this soap and rinsed repeatedly there was an oily rainbow-colored sheen and greasy build-up around the edge (see attached photos). Also after washing and rinsing steel knives, they appear clean and then suds will appear minutes later. Friends have reported similar findings with this product. I've been using and trusting Seventh Generation products for years and am very disappointed, as well as worried about health effects.
