This review is for the Expert Gardner Empire garden border. This is very pretty. I am not handy. Usually my fiance puts things together for me. But I was able to assemble this on my own. The pieces snap together very easily. You could add more if you have a bigger area. I will need to buy more to have enough to put around my flower patch. These could be used along a pathway especially if you don't want people walking on your lawn. It has been muggy, hot, and raining here. But the borders have not been affected. They are made of strong material so they should last a long time. I couldn't find any negatives with this product. I definitely recommend this especially to someone who isn't very handy but would like to put together an easy project.
Very sturdy and beautiful
The Expert Gardener Empire Powder Coated Steel Garden Border is a fine product that I find to be superior to many popular competitors in several areas. First of all is the material. It is constructed from powdered coated steel instead of the plastic or hard vinyl of other borders. If you've ever tried to push those plastic borders into the hard ground, you know how they twist and bend, making a sharp looking border impossible. The Expert Gardener Border features strong, sharp, steel feet which extend 6 inches into the ground, guaranteeing a solid foundation. Secondly, is the size. Each panel is about 18 inches high so it will serve tall flower gardens well. Third is the connecting system. I really like this. Each panel contains a male and a female end. Each end has two connectors to keep the fence straight and they are integrated into the fence itself so you don't have the worry of losing those loose connecting pins that come with other borders. And the connections allow for almost a 360 degree range of motion so you can shape this fence any way you wish. I personally think that this type border looks best with 90 degree turns, but it could also work well as a wide circular border around a landscape or a tree. I used mine, as the picture shows, as a surround for an accent plant. This not the best use of this border as it would be far more striking in a long, straight run, but since I had only 4 panels, my choices were limited. In conclusion, the Expert Gardener Garden Border is a fine product. I can find no flaws in it and I would recommend it to my friends
These wrought iron style fence add ons have changed the way my whole yard looks. I love the classic style and black goes with any decor I put out to decorate with. They are very durable and easy to use by just pushing into the ground. No digging so super easy setup. No more rodents or cats in my flower beds. Comes with 1 year warranty but you will never need it. These are awesome They hold up to the weather very well.
Very happy with these. Helps keep the animals away. Very easy to put together and put up. Makes our garden look very nice. Plan on getting more to make our garden nice.
Empire powder coated steal garden border panels are great looking and sturdy. Since I enjoy gardening, I have several veggie plants that I need to protect. This portable fence helps to keep my dogs and other animals out of my garden. This is a great little fence, better quality than other brands I have tried in the past. Each panel can be detached from each other or connected with others panels as well. They can be a little tricky to put in, because they do need to line up with the linking points, but it is not too difficult. I started at one end and had the loops in the direction towards me. Then, I line up the linking posts with the loops, making it easier to assembly. I really like that I am able to take down to trim or work on the veggie area , then put back up. Seems like the coated material will withstand bad weather, time will tell. It stays up right against rain and strong winds. They do look great and add some nice curb appeal to an area. Overall, this fence is sturdy and well made, it is a great value for the price.
My little garden in front of my house tends to want to wander and sometimes gets nicked when I use the string trimmer. I found the solution in this border fencing. It is just the right size for my flower garden and easy to install. It's 18" high and 22.5" in length. It has two 6.25 inch points on both ends of the fencing to anchor the fencing panel securely to the ground. Winds up here on the mountain tend to be strong and the length of the anchors is important to keep the fence upright. There are two small, rounded hooks on the one side of the panels you can add an additional fence panel. The great thing about these hooks is that it enables you to angle the fence the way you need it. This allows me to follow the turns of the garden. The charcoal border is understated enough that it takes nothing away from the beauty of the garden. Instead, it actually enhances it by the design of the metalwork appearance. It is coated to protect it from rusting. There was a heavy rain and wind storm before I could put the border fence into the ground and thus all my flowers were flattened, so the photos are not as I would have liked. The border fence would have saved them.
I ordered four of these Expert Gardener Empire Powder Coated Steel Garden Border 22.5 In. W x 18 In. H to define my front walk area around my stairs to try to control some of the rustic foliage. As I unpacked them I noticed how nicely designed and detailed they were and the weight was easy to handle - not as heavy as I thought they would be. The outside area was already measured out so I knew they would fit but as I was putting them together - either I had my stupid hat on or because I never used these before they took a very long while to get the links in the holes and they kept on coming out as I was placing them in the ground. The placement of the hook and the hole didn't seem to line up so I kept exchanging them with each other to see if one fit better than another. I finally sat down in the dirt and placed one in the ground and then very carefully lined up the holes and I finally got it in but the outcome was slightly crooked. I know they must make thousands of these but not lining up properly they would need to be bent to sit straight so the problem might be in the production - I don't know. The end result is I have a nicely defined area where I wanted it although slightly crooked.
No pun intended but I'm on the fence with this product. It is a very short fence as in heights wise. Product itself is pretty sturdy. The Walmart Warehouse didn't do a good job of packing the product. I ordered five only received four and one of the fence top finial was busted off. Customer service gave me credit back on the busted one and obviously the fifth one which I found out there were no more in stock.
I started to put in my Garden and they were broken tops.
