This is a really nice set of dishes! You can use them for everyday use or even a nice brunch with family or friends. Each piece is lightweight, but not fragile. I've washed them in the dishwasher and heated them in the microwave without any issues. I've put everything from hot soups and ice cream in the bowls, Hot food will make them very hot, so be careful handling them. Also when heating in the microwave they will come out very hot. Use oven mitts or something to pick them up and hold them. The dinner plates are good size for full meals. The smaller plates are just as nice, just your typical salad or bread plate. We use them for small lunches and deserts.
I am in love with these dishes! The design is so fun but elegant at the same time. I think it's important for me to find things for my home that have a modern style but also are family-friendly. All of my kids pointed out how much they love the stripes and polka dots on the bowls and plates! These aren't super flashy but they are enjoyable to look at and pleasant to eat out of! They have been great for everyday use but I have also loved bringing them out when we have guests over. The kids have been using them every day and we haven't had any breaks or chips, which says a lot because they aren't usually careful when it comes to dishes. My favorite part of this set is the dessert plates. We have used these for dessert but I think they are the perfect bowl for soups, particularly gumbo! The wide bottom and slightly tall sides make it so easy to eat soups with lots of chunky ingredients. This is the first Gap Home item I have owned and I cant wait to see what else they come out with in the future! I would defiantly recommend getting these dishes because they're not only durable but also really cute and fun! I have received so many compliments about these and I've only had them a little while.
The Gap 16 piece dinnerware set is absolutely what I needed. It comes with 4 plates, 4 bowls, 4 shallow bowls and 4 salad plates. Each piece is light weight and the contrast in the bowls and salad plates makes a statement. The pewter is a gray color so is very versatile. Really like that the set doesn't come with coffee cups! Have washed in dishwasher many times. Haven't used in microwave. I would highly recommend this set.
I love this dinnerware set. It comes with 4 plates, four bowls that are perfect for cereal or soup, four salad bowls and four dessert plates. The smaller bowls and dessert plates have whimsical polka dots, thick lines, thin lines and a grid pattern. The large platers and salad bowls are white with red lines that circle the edge of each plate. This set is made of fine ceramic and is brightly colored and light weight. This set will make any dinner table look welcoming.
The Gap Home 16-Piece Fine Ceramic Dinnerware Set is lovelier than the photo shows. It is made of bone porcelain for strength and durability; it is breakable and hopefully shatter resistant. The set contains 4 each of 10” dinner plates, 8” dessert plates, 6” dinner bowls and 6” bowls. It is definitely elegant with some pieces having a whimsical pattern. The dinner plates and dinner bowls share a classic dual stripe border. While the dessert plates and bowls have 4 different fanciful patterns with one dessert palate and one cereal bowl having the same design. Although it can be used for everyday purposes, I prefer and plan to use it for Sunday dinner and special occasions. Although, the set is dishwasher safe, I much prefer to handwash. It is also microwave safe. I chose pewter (gray) to match my dining room, but other colors are available. Now I will now search and try to get matching drinking glasses; I am certain I should be able to get matching mugs. I give this set 5 stars because they are flawless (no blemishes) and beautiful! The Gap Home New Antique Pewter 16-Piece Fine Ceramic Dinnerware Set is a very nice and modern looking dinnerware set. Love the designs on the set. The Grey and white colors and patterns are super cute. Comes with 4 pieces of each item. Dinner plate which is perfect size for your meals and also a smaller dessert sized plate. The bowls I really like a lot, has one set that is really deep which is great for cereal or salad. The other set of bowls is more shallow good for ice cream or little serving of soup. I'm very pleased with the look of this dinner set. Look like they are made to withstand many uses.
The Home New Light Blue Fine Ceramic Dinnerware Set is beautiful, I really love the cute designs on this set. They are made very nice and durable. I like how the plates are not to thin nor to thick they are just perfect. These types of dish sets are perfect for any time to use or even just a set for summer based on they way they are and decorated. The set does look elegant and attractive when set on the table. I hope they last me a long time because they are now my favorite dishes. I would definitely recommend this set.
How great are these? Four cereal bowls, four soup bowls, four salad plates and four dinner plates. Everything you need for a nice evening of casual entertaining. Each of the four bowls is a different design in red and white and it matches each of the four salad plates. The dinner plates and soup bowls match and all four of those are the same. It is a wonderfully fun way to eat breakfast, lunch, casual dinner. And they look so nice in the cabinet. It makes cooking fun and eating even more so. On days when it is arduous to cook and get dinner ready, these lift the spirits because you can't help but smile at polka dots on a cereal bow. Kids will too. Big and small. They were packed extremely well and they shipped quickly. I would definitely recommend these because they also can also be accent pieces to kitchen decor. I have a black counter and these really stand out on the shiny black top. These aren't China, but everyday dishes. And the GAP name of course inspires confidence, GAP Home, and...it doesn't disappoint imho.
These are very cute red and white ceramic dishes. I love the different patterns! I am sure they are as sturdy as any breakable dish. I doubt it would last if dropped on the floor. But otherwise, I believe they will wear well if used with some care. They aren't extremely heavy like stoneware is and not as light as melamine. A nice weight. The soup/cereal bowls are a good size. I am actually glad this set didn't include cups or mugs because most of the time they are just unneeded. Especially in a family that doesn't drink tea or coffee. This would be a really nice breakfast set. I can recommend this.
This set of dishes from Gap Home is really cute and kind of quirky. I like that the luncheon plates and bowls have different patterns (stripes, dots). The set seems very sturdy but isn't too heavy or chunky. I was looking for a lightweight set for our in-law/guest suite which has a full but rather small kitchen area and the dishes are stored on industrial stainless steel shelving (see pic). They are perfect for our needs. I have only run them through the dishwasher once when I opened them and they are fine. Cannot speak to how they will stand up to longer use but they will not be used on a daily basis so I am not concerned about that. Really like that the set has what I will call a pasta bowl - much more useful that saucers or dessert plates which in our family are hardly ever used. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the striping on the dinner plates is a little erratic from plate to plate - on some the outside stripe goes all the way to the edge of the plate and on others is it wavy and dips up and down. Not a deal breaker and may be intended that way. I am disappointed that I have not been able to find the set of 4 matching mugs at any of my local stores and have also been watching on line ... realize with supply chain issues there are shortages but if I would really like to add them to this set. Have used some mugs I have on hand but like I said I would really like the mugs that match as they also come in the 4 different patterns as cereal bowls and luncheon plates. Overall am very happy with this set and feel it will be perfect for our guests.
