I decided to tackle assembly of this unit on a Thursday evening - probably not my best choice. Instructions required 2 people at a certain point but I took this task on myself. Started at 9:00pm and ended at 1:00am. The instructions were mostly visual - if they would've included some detailed verbiage then I believe the process would've gone faster. In any event, it turned out great! No problems. Great piece of furniture! Its sturdy and holds quite a bit. It's not oversized so it doesnt take up much space. The color is beautiful. It was delivered on schedule and the packing was impeccable. I couldn't have asked for more. Based on the fantastic customer service and quality of this item I am now going to make another purchase.
Very sturdy and heavy. I was pleasantly surprised how well it assembled and how good the finished product stands and functions.
Very Happy with it
Was very much surprised, at how pleased I was with this product. It is very attractive, and appears to be extremely well constructed and sturdy. The only real problem I found with it, is it makes the rest of my furniture look pretty shabby, now the rest of my office needs a total make-over.
I am a young, single female and just purchased my first home. With that being said, I renovated and decorated on a very tight budget. I purchased this filing cabinet and the matching bookshelf for my new place and am very pleased with both. I offer this warning though... be sure you're well rested and have a couple of hours set aside for assembly. It's not terribly difficult, but the directions are illustration only -- no words. So on a page where 10 things need to happen, it shows you the 10 things, but not the order in which you should complete them. But, I did eventually succeed in getting it built. Decent quality and looks great for what I need it for.
Took six hours, three calls to build. Telephone response personnel were great. Instructions could be improved
The price was the best on the web and the order experience was simple and secure. This lateral file is a perfect addition to my Saratoga executive desk. The box was slightly damaged upon arrival, but all parts were in excellent condition. I found this cabinet sturdy and durable yet easy to assemble. The detailed instructions were easy to follow and all parts fit exactly with no gaps or jamming of parts together to make them fit. Excellent, great quality furniture!
This is a very nice file cabinet once you get it put together. I have put together several pieces of this type and I have to admit this is not one of the easier ones to do. It is very sturdy and overall a very nice piece. If you have never put this type of furniture together before this may not be a good choice for the first one. However, once finished is very nice.
Attractive piece of furniture. Very solid and heavy. But also somewhat difficult to assemble. Two steps of the assembly require another person to help you hold the pieces together. Parts are labeled with long numbers, so it was helpful to organize it all before starting. Customer service was excellent, however. Had to call them twice and got right through both times. Both reps were friendly and helpful. If you have a few hours to devote to putting it together, you'll like the outcome.
This was a christmas gift for my wife. We opened christmas eve to put it together and it was badly damaged.
