It was so easy to put together, it honestly only took me a little over an hour to put three sets together. I didn't have any problems with the plastic connectors popping off like the people in the other reviews, you just need to put them on all the way. I put it in my closet and loaded it with clothes, shoes, and junk and haven't had a single problem with it. It's very visually appealing and very functional. I love this product.
It is a little tricky putting this together and you need to be careful to line things up, follow the instructions and not press too hard. If you do press to hard, you can accidently bend it. Once its together it is sturdy and a great unit!
We bought 2 to stack them as a bookshelf and it looks great and is sturdy. It may be a little difficult putting it together, just lay it all out until it looks right before attaching it. I only wish the connector pieces were the same color as the shelves, but we spray painted them to make it match and the piece looks great in our office and fits the theme in there.
Make sure you know exactly what size it is before you order. If you order one, it's not as big as it looks. I first ordered one, and was somewhat disappointed at how small it looked. Since I was putting it on a rather large wall, I ordered another. You also can't make it into whatever shape/size you want. It won't hold that much weight, so only plan to put light things on it. Overall, once I got it set up and put stuff on the shelves, I really like it. I get compliments from everyone on how original it is. I recommend this product as long as you understand exactly what you're getting.
After reading all those review about difficulty putting it together, i was little skeptical about purchasing this product. Luckily, i bought it. It take me about 30 min to put 2 set together. Just read the instruction and line up the shape on the floor before you do anything. If you are thinking about getting it, buy 2 set! I'm using mine as a book shelf, it look awsome in my room.
The design is great! The parts are hard to put together, but if you use a rubber mallet it goes together smoother. To sit it on the floor is "ok" for storage, but if you want to hang it on the wall you definately need to reenforce the joints with wire first.
Dont get me wrong I like the way it looks and it added a nice touch to my room but the construction of it is weak. It is very hard to get the brackets to stay in place and i noticed that some keep falling off or wont stay alined.
We bought this for storage in our children's play room. Our experience putting it together was just as with the other people who have written in. Horrible! The unit is a big puzzle, the little white caps are hard to attach and do not go on easily and the mesh bends if you hammer them too much. Overall, we got it to hold toys and figure it will won't last very long! It looks good though!
As we gently tapped the pieces together, the wire mesh bent. The caps that hold the pieces together don't do the job well - even when we used the rubber mallet they suggest for assembly. (That really bent the mesh.) We were never able to get it entirely assembled; it kept falling apart. We're returning them.
i bought two of these sets for my boyfriend to replace this ugly shelving unit he has in his room. he's 19 so i figured it was "cool" enough for him. i showed him the picture of it online, he liked it, so i ordered it. i picked it up an huor and a half ago and im about to leave in 15 minutes to return both of them. first of all PIECE OF ABSOLUTE JUNK! it is IMPOSSIBLE to put together.. "no tools needed" yea right, i had me, my boyfriend, and my father trying to put it together, and we had hammers. it was ridiculous. dont even bother to waste ur time. it looks cool on the box but thats it. once we had it together (which took 45 minutes for just one of the sets) u notice that the actual peices were never like, even in the first place. it was horrible, dont waste ur money or ur time. once u put something on it its bound to collapse and ull spend another 20 minutes fixing it.
