These cubes are a reasonable price, and still look good. The smallest cube is a little small (not many things will be able to fit in it) but the website gives you the measurements beforehand. They are a sturdy product and look good !!
These were just what I was looking for as far as wall boxes go. I read the other reviews and that really helped me decide to buy these. the 3 sizes were great yes the small box is small, but that's what is supposed to be. Find one great small item and place it in and it becomes something very special. I used these to put souvenirs from a recent trip. its a great place to display things that don't really fit in anywhere else. I added a photo, for size idea the picture frame holds a 4x6 picture.
the only thing that disappoints me is that when you touch these cubes it leaves the finger marks etc so i'll be using a towel to something else to hang them so don't get the finger print imprints all over the units where they'll be visible when up close. beautiful and great for the money
I am currently re-doing a very small bathroom and my wallpaper border has a pattern with black in it... These shelves are great for this small area and will hang on the one wall that is wider than the rest, opposite the sink, vanity, toilet, etc. They hold just enough to add a wee bit more accent once my items are displayed on them and are not too heavy or bulky for this space. They have or will, make this one wall "pop" as I'd like it to and the price was just about right for my budget compared to others I looked at or the cost of lumber had I made them myself.
Love these shelves! They are not big, but are perfect for the wall space I wanted to fill. Very solid--the only thing I wish is that they had come with their own hanging materials. We had to go buy some.
These are great shadow boxes. I read some other reviews that said they don't line up flush with the wall. I noticed that only with the smallest box, but it is not a large enough gap to be noticed by anyone unless they stand next to it and really look for it. The smallest box can hold an item about 4 inches tall, great for a small knick-knack. Keep in mind that these shelves are decorative and not really meant to be functional (again, I read other reviews that complained the small one was not big enough to be functional). The largest box fits a 4x6 picture frame comfortably. Overall, these are great little shelves, very stylish, easy to install, and the price was definitely right.
It's a very nice product and fits perfect and goes well with the wall we selected. The picture on the site makes you think the cubes are big but it's not. So if you're going to fix this product on a bigger or a wider wall, this product would disappoint you. Go with a smaller wall and the cubes stand out with bright colored jars inside the cube.
Got these little shelves to make a canvas we bought look more dramatic. They were exactly the size and look we needed. They look great and are identical to a set I found in a shop for three times more money. They were easy to hang but one of the nail slots on the back of the medium shelve had to be widened to match the other. These shelves are perfect for small knick knacks but I wouldn't put books or anything heavy on them.
This product is a great deal from Walmart. I've seen the exact same product at craft stores for $8 more. My product had a couple minor imperfections (I ordered the black finish and there were a couple of faded areas, but I just used a black marker to fix). It does not come with the hanging nails; I had to find some of my own (you will need two nails per box, for a total of six). They are fairly easy to hang. It took me quite a while because I'm a perfectionist with the tape measure, but I think you could get it done faster with the same results if you did this method...put the nails into the notches provided on the back of the boxes and hold them there with your fingers, place a level on top of the box, then hold the box up to the wall where you want it and once it's level, press the nails against the wall to create a mark where you will nail it, then set everything down and hammer the nails in and then hang the box on them. I used mine to display figurines and I measured my figurines first to make sure they would fit. The outside measurement of each box is: Large = 9" x 9" Medium = 7" x 7" Small = 5" x 5" and the wood is about 1/2" thick.
This product could have been a great value, but it did not come with the hardware to install it on to the wall. Also where the holes are in the product to hang it I have a box that the holes were not properly cut out, so I am now myself going to have to shave out the hole better so it will hang properly.
