I bought this, as I wanted to introduce my elderly Yorkshire terrier to a new kitten i'm going to be adopting shortly, so I decided to use Sophie as an example to help my 'little girl' to understand she will always be the baby, the first baby, but that a 'new baby' would be joining our family. so far she's been very good to it and adjusting very nicely and I work with her everyday to let her know this kitten will be staying and the stuffed animal helps her to relate to the kitten till it comes and then I will work with my 'little girl' and a real live kitten. hopefully by that time, there wont be any tense moments and/or jealousy issues. wish me luck! =D
