read up on chalk paint before i purchased because i thought it was a little pricey but i really like it. if i feel its to thick then i will add a little bit of water. coverage is great!
This was the third color of this brand I've purchased because its good paint and decently priced. I re-did an old shelf with it and it covers real well and came out nicely.
I have never in my life seen such a beautiful color. I have never used chalk paint or painted any furniture before. This chalk paint is so easy to use. I used the Waverly chalk paint brush and it applies the paint so beautifully and gives the perfect finish. I highly recommend the chalk paint brush. I painted my little dining table (not quite finished with the legs). I'm so thrilled.
It was so easy to work with and was easily covered & not thin at all! I was able to do my oak kitchen cabinets with just 2 coats! Better than Rustoleum brand that I tried! Used a perdy brush and didn't have any brush strokes and I didn't have to sand at all before the wax coat. I sanded some other furniture pieces for the distressed look and they turned out gorgeous. This paint is the smoothest paint I have even touched once sanded !!! Mineral color seemed like better coverage than the white.
Great product! I use this on old wooden trunks. It adds a slight luster finish and sinks in to the old scratches, wear, and tear. Also used on vintage wooden photo and mirror frames. Would also be great on new painted items, giving them a deeper not so new appearance.
The color of this moss waverly chalk paint is a perfect moody green, and the coverage is amazing. I Painted all 9 cardboard bins in my pantry with one bottle!
Bought one bottle to cover an octagonal coffee table. Tooks three coats (no prep) to get uniform coverage and the bottle is not quite empty! Much darker than pictured, more of a mustard color than a curry... But still pretty!
I bought this item just to paint my wine rack then I thought it would be good for my great grandson to write on and I can just erase it as it would be easier than letting him write on everything else in my apartment ( he's 2 )
Good chalk paint for the price. Does get thick and hard to spread if you have it out too long while doing your project. True to color.
I purchased the Waverly Silver Lining and Clear Wax to paint a small accent table that was varnished. I washed it down with TSP and painted over with 2 coats of the Silver Lining paint, and I was pretty pleased with the results! As others have said, the paint is thick, but it still went on smoothly for me and had good, even coverage, and no bleed through. However, I finished with a thin coat of the wax paint and regretted it. Within minutes, I could see areas with orange bleed through. I was careful to remove excess wax, but there were still a few corner areas where it gathered and looks yellow. I waited the full 24 hours recommended before buffing. Gentle buffing led some areas to have a distressed look. I tried to get off some of the excess wax in corners and this also took off some chunks of the paint. The project started off positive, but ended in disappointment! Maybe the paint is good, but don't use the wax!
