[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would highly recommend the 15x8 storage shed from lifetime. There is plenty of space in this shed, only challenge to this shed is all the parts and how long it took to actually build this. Me and my wife started at 9 am and didn't finish until after 7 pm, and that was working straight through. I would say watch the YouTube video offered for this product because it was very helpful because the instructions are very confusing.
The base should be level. With out a level base you will not have a successful assembly. Also get a few friends and take your time. The Bible of instructions also is missing a step. The roof supports for snow load are not clearly shown how to install. All in all Great buy and we'll worth the money. Wish they made a bigger one.
Very well made and stylish for a shed. Followed the directions in the booklet with the help of on-line videos. Only 2 screws have no home. The diagram in the manual just isn't clear enough for those two. We're hoping they aren't too critical! But just love the look, the size and the quality. Hope to have it for years to come! It looks just like the picture, too.
This is a really cool storage shed that meets my needs to get alot of stuff out of the garage. Between using the BILT app and the included assembly instructions I was able to put the shed together in a full day and a half including building the wood floor. Because of its size at 8x15ft, I had the help of two Navy Sea Bees. Things flowed pretty well with only a few hangups: getting the last wall corner to pop into place in the floor slots ate up about an hour, figuring out the center roof gable metal pieces had us stumped for a bit, and we also put the first door channel in wrong so until we figured that out the door hardware was in the wrong place. Also, pay attention to the door tubes on sheds with two sets of doors, I was aware it would be an issue but still got it wrong. We hadn't put the gable end in place yet so swapping in the right tube was quick. Instructions do note two different tube lengths and which ones go where but we still got it backwards. I highly recommend screwing all fasteners in by hand with a screwdriver vs. using drill driver; we ended up stripping out three holes even just using the screwdriver. You're only fastening to plastic so hand tight or just at snug is good when fastening, any more and the screws will strip out the plastic. You will question just how good this shed really is while assembling, it seems kinda jenky as you're putting things together but once assembled its amazingly solid and well engineered using mostly plastic and screws to hold it all together. Happy with this purchase, thanks Lifetime!
I bought this a month ago and paid to have a professional pad poured to ensure it was perfectly square and level. I also paid a professional team to install the shed. They were very frustrated by the instructions so I helped and some of the instructions may as well have been written in a foreign language for the help they provided in the installation. Even with the level pad and the corners squared, it was hard to fit some of the roof pieces into place. Pros: good size for the money; the double doors are great; plenty of room for riding mower, mower, cement mixer, garden trailer and more. Cons: the doors are not a perfect fit; the flooring is confusing on which piece goes where to insure correct door and wall installation. 99% of the troubles with this shed would have been avoided if they numbered the pieces and made the instructions a little clearer; e.g.: instead of saying to connect the two (whatever) together, they should have explained how to connect them. That would have saved hours on the installation time. However, even with all the cons, I would recommend this product, just be aware that it will be frustrating to install and site prep is critical. One day of frustration is worth the years of use this shed will provide.
great quality, solid once assembled. suggestions: you have to thoroughly read instructions for set up which is a lot of instructions. it would be nice if all parts in box where labeled with instructions as they are all not. also it comes in three boxes. it would be nice if all three boxes were packed in accordance with instruction sequence. takes a full day to set up.
I own three of thes sheds and am very pleased, till now. I walked in my 10 year old shed after a rain storm and found water on my bench. A vintage radio I was repairing was saturated with water, the wood case delaminating. I looked up and saw a cracked sky light along the seam. Checking further, I discovered all 6 ski lites were split on the full length of the joint on the side that gets more sunlight.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The flooring did not allow for proper door placement and despite my attempts to remove parts and again and again . I ended up having to sacrifice the the door locks. No matter how many YouTube videos I watched, there was no mention of floor placement in any and or instructions. Simply the doors would not close at all. I had to shim the doors and floors to even get them to close at all.
Once it is put together it is really a nice shed. Instructions were difficult to follow. Instructions were in the 2nd box and not the 1st. Go figure. The lock did not line up properly and limited accessories to add to wall.
Are you interested in testing the strength of your personal relationships with your friends? Lifetime has the shed for you. Maybe you've already tackled the tandem bicycle and the two person kayak, but you feel like your friendship could take the extra challenge. this shed has significant manufacturing inconsistencies, and the directions were written by a 3rd grader. I cannot speak to the long-term durability of this building, but I can tell you it's going to be a real struggle to put it together.
