My vintage cement bird bath (large and beautiful) was destroyed by the June 30th derecho (a tree fell on it) ... I was heartbroken. I started to look around for a replacement and really feared there was nothing out there to do the job and look great. I was wrong! I saw this bird bath online and am so glad that I decided to go for it! It is beautiful, large and impressive-looking -- and made of resin, colored all the way through, so it is easy to tip over and clean as necessary, but looks like very expensive concrete!
It was perfect, just what I wanted.
I am very happy with this bird bath. It is even bigger than I hoped and heavy enough to stand up to most of our winds. A fantastic addition to my garden.
Larger than I thought it would be. The birds took a couple of days to get use to it, but now drink, and splash around all the time. Great product ...
I agree with other reviews that state that there are white spot but from far away you aren't able to notice this. It came in good packaging and my mother absolutely loved it as it was light enough and able to clean easy.
Looks like real carved wood. If you prefer a stone look you can spray paint it. Very nice looking bird bath.
This bird bath is very manageable since it is resin instead of concrete. It should also withstand the elements better than clay or ceramic. It is, however, fairly deep so I'm waiting to see if small birds will enjoy it. All in all, a good choice if you don't want a heavy concrete piece that is difficult to move. I inserted a stake inside the base so it will better be able to withstand winds.
I purchased this item at another store. The item to me, is pretty much worthless. With less than a years worth of use, the paint that is used has come off and it looks horrible. The only good thing about it is that it does not leak. For as much as it is you would think it would last longer.
Do not buy. If you put water in it, the paint will peel. I haven't even had it 2 weeks, and the inside paint is already half peeled off. It is a pretty birdbath and the reviews were great. Apparently the people that wrote the reviews never put water in it. Also, I haven't been able to find a way to contact customer service to return it and get a refund.
This bird bath was great-looking when we first received it. But now after less than a month's use, the finish comes off just from the pressure of the water hose. And in no time at all it will be completely white... a real disappointment for a birdbath costing this much. I plan to return it.
