I recently received this Better Homes & Gardens Beadboard Paintable Wallpaper. I will be redesigning my living room closet doors to remove the old decoration. I thought this could look nice on them. Otherwise, I will be doing an accent wall in my guest room. It's a pretty simple assembly and not like the old-school wallpaper. I love that it can be painted so I don't have to worry about getting a certain color. It seems to be well-made wallpaper with plenty of texture. Overall, I'm very happy with it!
I honestly got this and thought it was a ridiculous concept. Whatever you put it on should be flat, but if it isn't perfect, it does minimize the imperfections. Paint applies evenly, could use it for crafting, or it does look good enough you could put it on a wall and add some trim and really dress it up. It is prepasted and it sticks well. Definitely a money saver if you want the beadboard look without the expense. Dries pretty quickly, says to wait a few days for it to thoroughly dry before painting.
i love that you can paint over the wallpaper and the texture stays the same! i did 2 coats of paint and that was enough. instead of wetting the wallpaper i used wallpaper glue since it was easier for me to manage. it is sticking well i have had no issues. if you scrape it with something it does show so be careful when handeling
The beadboard wallpaper is much nicer than I thought it would be. It's thicker than average wallpaper to give it a realistic look. It comes as a pure white color and can even be painted to be any color you want. The roll is 20.5" wide by 33' long.
Very impressed with the quality of this wallpaper! I installed it myself on our entryway - it took about an hour. Plus, there's no waste since the pattern runs with the length of the paper. I can't wait to finish it up with some paint soon.
I like the concept behind this wallpaper. You can paint it, the wallpaper has a texture to it. It feels like it would hold onto paint very well!! I don't know if I would use it on a wall, maybe in a small area. I would use it as suggested, behind shelving or other ideas suggested by the actual listing. I have a few ideas for this wallpaper, and excited to customize it with a color of my choice.
Yes, it's difficult to hang, at first but once you get the hang of it not to bad and absolutely loved the finished product. Decided to paint mine, definitely wait until the paper is dry. I couldn't be happier with the results.
Although this was my first go with wallpaper, I feel this product was exceptional for the price. It was thick and only tore when trying to razor the excess. It had plenty of glue and depending on how wet you get it, will determine how easily manipulated it goes on the wall. Just make sure you spend time on getting the seams perfect and it will look really nice. I painted mine a dark blue and overall very pleased.
This Better Homes & Garden Pre-pasted Vinyl Wallpaper is just the ticket, I had no idea it was this easy!! You can paint it if you prefer, I have the white Breadboard & white is exactly what I wanted. One roll covers an impressive 56.37 sq.ft., plus the vinyl material is washable, as well as paintable!!! Though I haven't put it up yet, due to ordering another roll to complete the task I've chosen for it, but I'll certainly update the photos as soon as it's completed!! I'm excited to get started, I believe the finished product is gonna look fantastic!! I'm doing the bottom half of my master bathroom walls in the Beadboard with a nice trim about half the width of chair-railing for a classic finished look, , then I'll paint the top portion of the walls a very pale gray. It also looks & feels of great quality & endurance...
This is a heavy duty vinyl wallpaper that completely transformed my spare room. I applied it below an existing chair rail and it covered the dark orange paint beautifully. Tip: to minimize the appearance of seams, it probably would have been better to have the wall underneath be white (since I didn't plan to paint the paper). There is a TON of paste on this paper. Plan to protect your existing flooring with lots of towels. Messy doesn't being to describe this project. But the paper goes up easily and stays in place well. Trimming to fit was best accomplished by creasing the edges and then pulling back the paper and cutting with scissors. The recommended razor blade seemed to tear the paper more often than not. Patience is key in cutting carefully. Bottom line - I got a clean, fresh, bright look that really does mimic beadboard for <$20 and a few loads of towels to wash.
