First time grilling this year I foolishly put 10 pounds of leg quarters (untrimmed) on the grill..Well grease fires were flaring up so I turned off the front burners and moved all of the meat to the front to cook indirectly with the back burner left on.. Grease piled up caught fire and I had a raging inferno of billowing Black smoke..I thought the grill was ruined, disconnected the propane tank gave it a toss..ran into the house and grabbed the Tundra extinguisher that we keep in the kitchen for grease fires..Within 10 seconds I had the whole thing out..no mess (from extinguisher anyways)..and the grill was black but saved..I am impressed!
This fire extinguisher spray was recommended by a Sear service technician for its ease of use and cleanup. The Walmart price was the cheapest. The only negative is that it needs to be replaced after 2 years.
This fire extinguisher is so easy to use. You just spray it . There is no pin to pull or any other preparations needed to use the item. It is just like spraying a bottle of hairspray. It fits very nicely on the counter next to stove.
