I bought this one year ago and it's still holding up nicely. I'm not noticing any rust after sitting in a brooder for a year. It's been in just about constant use. When I needed to use it on the ground, I would put it on a flat stone or brick. The only thing I noticed that may become an issue, is the place where the top and bottom are connected. It does bend a little and I'm pretty sure it's probably weakening it. It would probably be better if it was connected in 3 or more areas. If the area was a little bit bigger, it would probably be better too. But I think it's a product that will still last a few years.
Works as described. I love that the tray edges dont fill too deep, minimized spills, and jar fits securely.
These are perfect for young poultry. I have used them with quail and chickens.
Its a better way to water the hens now not tippy like their baby plastic waterer. Screw the cap on a quart jar. I have a couple jars in the refrigerator and it give then cool, clean water.
The waterer base is great for your newly hatched baby chicks. I thought I may need to put little pebbles inside but NO. It fills up with water a little at a time while they drink so it is very safe for your baby chicks (they will not drown). You can put a small mason jar or a large mason jar inside it. Another plus about the product is what it is made of. It will last you forever.
Always used the galvanized items for my flock. Easier to clean than plastic. Would buy again.

They were a little smaller dish than I thought they would be when I ordered. Works nicely with the jar but still have to fill up daily even with the biggest jar I use.
