Love this saw! It cut down the 40 and 43ft trees in the pics and several others, and then cut them into small pieces with no problems. It’s important to mention that I am a 48 year old female and I did this by myself. I’ve never handled a chain saw and honestly was afraid of them. This little saw is a powerhouse but still easy to handle. Easy to set up. Very happy with this purchase.
This is a well made device with excellent attention to fit and detail. It was assembled easily with the instructions provided and worked as soon as I plugged it in and activated the safety trigger. Since then I have been able to trim both my crape myrtles and a bald cypress lower canopy with amazing ease. It collapses nicely for efficient storage. On top of that the package included the pole saw, all parts, a tool and sufficient bar oil to fill the reservoir. I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone capable of following simple instructions.
This surprised me with the ease of use and power. Extremely easy to extend and angle. I had no trouble at all in trimming small branches from up in the tree. Very nice!!!
Bottom line I got a whole lot done with this saw. Took branches down that were extending over my roof and some that were reaching up to the power line to my house. It extends to 8 feet, need a 1/2 inch socket to make easy adjustments. Extended all the way can be heavy to hold up but with the new chain it is fast cutting. Chain jumped off once, easy to get back on and tighten. Be sure to fill with chain oil before use and be sure to check it, have added chain oil twice since I started. Sun Joe so far so good, feel like I got my money's worth the first two days. Two photos of one of the pile I made with this.
This works very well. However, the chain comes off more then it should and the auto oiler did not work. I had to manually poor oil on the chain. I will be returning this one for a replacement and would still recommend it despite these issues. It did well cutting the 12 inch solid oak branch in pic. I used my Echo cs-352 to limb and cut up the tree.
Super easy to set up, super easy to use. And I've never owned or operated one of these things before. It's pretty easy to maneuver, not too heavy. Though after about 30 min of reaching high branches on a 20ft ladder, it definitely felt like I was waving around a small toddler on a stick. Gotta do more arm days at the gym apparently. I do recommend this pole saw. It worked great on a weeping cherry with thin branches. And for the price, I'm definitely happy with it. We'll see how it goes in the long run. I'll be buying dumbbells with the money I saved to up my tree trimming game.
The power saw chain guide broke with hours of first operation of the saw. After careful inspection, I discovered that a simple design fix would make this a wonderful purchase. There is a single locking screw that locks the chain guide in place. If the manufacturer simply added a longer metal securing plate between the guide and the locking mechanism, the chain would never come off. A very simple fix that would cost the manufacturer an additional $0.05 to solve the problem. I returned the original chain saw for a replacement and added the fix myself. Works great now!
Great pole saw cuts great but only Reason I gave four stars is that it was shipped FedEx, tracker kept Saying it was going to arrive that Day got it two days later. Box was Cut in half and taped all the part Was in the box. 5 stars for the pole saw!.
The bar for the chain burned up after 2 times using it not good because you can't get parts even for it
Worked well from the start. Easy cutting and simple set-up. Filled the tank with Echo bar oil and began cutting. Cut through the already downed branches first without much problem. Noticed that the bar oil was depleting quickly and had to be refilled often. Then the chain got stuck and came off the bar. Took the cover off and discovered that the chain was pinched (after removing a small piece of wood that lodged in the opening). Found that one of the chain links had been hammered to a point that it deformed and wouldn't fit into the bar slot no matter how I tried. Basically I would need a new chain. My assumption was that the chain had a poor metal composition to allow such a deformity to occur (and on only one of the links! Couldn't show picture because it was .10 MB too large. Good grief.). The rest of the unit seems fine. But I am not interested in playing around with a new saw that becomes unusable in the first day of use. Back it goes ...
