I have had this CB for around a month now and has worked out great, Just took a little time to get it set up. This is the most newest and modern CB radio you can buy, LCD screen and the very newest technology. Built in SWR meter helps out on setup with your antenna. The built in weather channel with scan is also great, and has activated several times for the weekly radio test of the weather alert. Once your radio is set up and programed I'm sure you will enjoy it. I also purchased the Cobra 36'' 300 watt magnet mount antenna which has also worked out great. I highly recommend this radio.
Chose the 29 LX features offered. Installed in 1999 Ram 2500 Quad-Cab diesel. Radio works well with antenna properly adjusted. The radio's built in meter and calibration function, worked just as well as my external meter and calibrator. I ordered a Cobra external speaker after installing. The built in speaker in radio is not enough to overcome interior noise in the cab of my truck. Overall great product quality and function.

Purchased this product while travelling the interstate cross country. I've owned Cobra products in the past and really had great experiences with them so I stuck with the same brand again. I read all the post and I had some of the same problems but after some minor adjustments to the antenna all the but internal speaker was corrected. I eventually purchased the recommended external speaker and that took care of the inability to hear the radio like I wanted. I think I'll try a different antenna to get better output but I will say that you have to adjust the antenna (SWR) with it where it will be used and don't move it. If you do, you need to re-address the adjustment but this has to do with RF and the antenna no matter which radio you use. The radio display is hard for me to see while moving on the road so I had to stop to make adjustments. Great product for me, thanks again (Cobra) you have a satisfied customer.
