Love the size
Smaller than expected but worked perfectly for the Star Wars death star cake. Can't wait to try it on other circle cakes.
Love... love ... love this pan! My cake came out amazing! First time, making a 3D Golf Ball Cake
Made the cutest cake! Easy to use great instructions
I purchased this to make my daughters second birthday cake. It is overall a nice product but it was a bit smaller than I thought it was going to be. For the size it still makes a good amount of cake though. If you have a bunch of people at your party I would recommend you make cupcakes or a sheet cake along with your ball cake.
I bought the ball for several ideas, first was for a castle theme.(pumpkin carriage) didn't use it for that but for Christmas I used the ball and two mini stand up bear cakes for a great idea. Everyone loved it but didn't want to cut into it. Next time I'll use it for a 3D ball for a birthday party
Smaller than I expected but I made it work:)
I bought the sport ball pan and the football pan be cause my three grate gragsons are very much into both of these games. Also I have a friend that has a thing for penguins. And since I am an artist and paint naturalist I thought that useing the foot ball pan for the body with a little carving of the cake and for the head I would use the one half of the sports and make an egloo of the other half. How ever when bakeing the sports ball it took a full Fifty minutes to cook. I made a test at thirty minutes as was your time to bake it and it was still just like the batter was when I had first put it in the pan and had a hard crust formed around the edge of the pan. The cake did rise to the top of the pan and then began to deflate. The same thing happened to the foot ball. How ever I did manage to trim this hard edge away and use the rest of the cake for my project.I would not recommed these two cake pans for any one to buy. I have many other pans with Turkeys, Christmas trees and many others. They are made of a much heavier medal and bake very well. I am sending a photo of my project and must say it did turn out well even with all the difacultys I ran into. Since I am 91 years of age and have been baking for at least 80 some years I feel that it was no fault of mine that that the cakes turned out the way they did. I would not recommend these two cake pans to any one special to a new baker.
The directions specifically say you will need 5 cups of batter, so I used 2 1/2 cups in each pan. It says to bake for 30 min. It has been in the oven for 45 minutes and is still not done. The batter is running down the sides of the pans and pooling on the cookie sheet. Cant imagine how i will get it out of the pan.
I didn't get to use the pans. They are made too thin and became misshapened before i even unboxed them. Perhaps if there had been better protection in the box so that the pans could maintain their shape, I would have had the opportunity to try them.
