Easy fit, easy to use phone's external buttons, screen becomes a little more difficult to manipulate due to the clear plastic cover this case utilizes - but not bad; easily transmits sound; great protection.
This case literally just saved my phone. Completely submerged it in water and nothing happened. My heart dropped when my phone dropped and immediately dried it off and my phone is safe! I love this case. Thank you so much for saving my life and phone from so many drops and spills and ice and snow and water. Lifesavers.
Great for working in dusty environments. Spend around 40 hours a week in chicken houses. Only phone case for my profession. Takes a drop well too. Only downside is I wouldn't suggest wireless charging with case on.
From the moment I was introduced to Lifeproof I fell in love. I have been a Samsung Galaxy user for many years, and I used to go with cases from other competitors. For years now it's been only Lifeproof. Sure, I'll put another case on my phone now and then, but it's only until the Lifeproof case becomes available. I'll admit it does take Lifeproof sometime to get their new cases out there (when new phones are released), but the protection and guaranteed coverage for your device is sure worth the wait. As soon as pre-order for the Galaxy S9 case opened I placed my order. The case arrived 3 days early; which was really awesome. I had a competitors case on my phone just to have something, but I was eager to get my Lifeproof case asap. The case provides excellent coverage and a secure fit. The only con I see is that the back screen cover does make it a little more difficult to utilize the fingerprint scanner and the heart-rate monitor. I'm having to use a little more pressure than normal to ensure that my fingerprint scan reads clearly through the cover; this does slow down the time it takes to unlock the phone slightly. With that being said, using another form of security to unlock your phone (pin, passcode, iris scanner, etc.) can resolve this issue completely. With that being said, I still gave this case a 5 star rating because, to me, nothing beats a Lifeproof case.
Great case for industrial environment
Within a week of purchase and the one and only drop it broke. I dont know if it just happened to be this case but it was from under three foot.
I bought this case and I really like it. Only problem is, I dropped it once and the case cracked. Worse off, I checked out as a guest when I bought it online several months ago and I can't find the email with the order number to seek a replacement. Case is waterproof and the screen protector is nice, just don't let it get cracked.
I bought this item directly from Walmart.com. I had a Lifeproof case for my S8, so I knew what to expect. However, when I purchased one for my S9, I was dismayed to find it didn't come with everything the S8 model did. No tab to pry it open when need to clean the case, nor did it come with the registration card so I can claim a warranty with Lifeproof if need be. Needless to say, I am returning it. I am sure the quality is good, but I refuse to keep something where not all parts are present.
Would have thought this case would have lasted longer. The side button to turn on and off does not work to hit the phone on the inside. hoping to contact Lifeproof.
This is the second Lifeproof case I have owned for a Galaxy S - series phone. The first for my S6 was fine and worked adequately. This case, for my S9 is however so bad it makes the phone nearly unusable. The screen cover sits a millimeter or so above the actual screen and is curved. When you go to touch the screen to make inputs, that "springy" depression of the cover before it contacts the actual glass screen creates unpredictable, incorrect results. More often than not, the phone just can not read ANYTHING. You can just forget any "Swiping" motion... that will never read correctly. For the same reason, I guess, the fingerprint reader on the back is rendered nearly inoperable. I have to press my finger on the Bio-reader pad 30 times with significant force to get it to read once. You can actually see that the plastic over the bio reader is distorted. ANY input on the face side of the screen near an edge Top, Bottom, curved right or curved left is absolutely going to at best result in an undesired action, but most of the time, it is just ignored and nothing happens. I emailed Lifeproof (Otterbox) from their website to see if mine might just be a defective unit versus a really bad design. I have not had so much as an acknowledgement that they received the inquiry. I can only assume it is a DESIGN and MANUFACTURE problem with the Lifeproof Case for the Samsung Galaxy S9 in general. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CASE and will replace mine even though it is only 2 weeks old.
