The game is incredibly Fun! The graphics are awesome, one the best I've seen on the Vita! It's not just a simplified port or a totally different game not related at all with the original, like most of the 3DS ports, it's the same game I've played on PS3, XBox360 and PC!!!
My son kept renting this game and my husband loved it ,so I bought it for them.
If you've been waiting on a great driving game for the Vita, this is it. Games like Asphalt Injection were a decent appetizer for those who like racing on the go, but limited you to linear racing with average graphics. NFS Most Wanted for Vita is an open world driving game that takes full advantage of the Vita's processing power and crisp OLED screen to deliver a beautiful near PS3 experience to Sony's new handheld. Whether you've played the newest console version or not, you'll be amazed at how much of this huge game they were able to cram into the Vita and pleasantly surprised to see how well the Vita can handle such a large open world experience while sacrificing very little in the way of visual quality. You can explore the vast expanse of Fairhaven through the city streets, industrial landscapes and winding country roads to the free wheeling interstate highways to test your pedal-to-the-metal racing and inner criminal cop fleeing abilities. There are loads of ramps to be jumped, billboards to be crashed, gates to smash, tons of hidden cars to find, races to conquer and speed cameras to record how fast you can drive all while earning you enough speed points to open up the next race in this NFS version of the Blacklist. All of your acheivements are posted to the Autolog to challenge your friends and show them who's best and you'll be alerted when one of your friends has beaten you in any event or one-upped you in any acheivement. This game also doesn't buy into touch screen controls just for the gimmick of it. They stick to traditional twin stick and button mapping for a true console experience. I love the Vita and all of it's capabilities but I don't really care for a game that pulls you out of the experience just to make use of the front or rear touch controls simply because it can. It works great in games like Little Big Planet, but I prefer games like NFS to stick to the more traditional route. The only thing I've noticed either touch screen used for in this game is the "touch to start" at the game's intro screen, and swiping the rear touch to change the in-game song playing. To me the only draw back of this entry on both the Vita and console versions is the lack of car customization found in the earlier NFS games. I really like personalizing my cars but this entry falls short of that feature. You can upgrade your engine, tires and nitrous and while they do offer some sort of body upgrades, I didn't notice any physical change to my car at all when I upgraded to the aero body. The police chases are on par with NFS but not quite as in depth as in Hot Pursuit yet still engaging enough to keep the fun going. To me those are easy to forgive and with everything else this entry has to offer makes this is a must have for NFS fans and Vita owners alike.
The game arrived when expected, it was well packaged.
it was a gift
Need for Speed Most Wanted is a decent open-world title to hit playstation vita and having the full map from both the XBOX 360 and Playstation 3's version of the title should keep you playing like it's that actual version. The only difference is the lack of traffic and amount of racers that can race along side of you, but of course I was disappointed at the internets part of this game. Everything else is just fine. Racing around the Map freely and crashing police is still pretty fun though, don't forget that you can blast your custom music while playing.
