[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used my Traditional Ragu in my favorite spaghetti recipe. What a big difference !!!! The sauce was rich and traditional. It stayed on the noodles better than other brands. The delicious richness and tomato flavor is definitely right up there with homemade.
Best sauce bc it's basic but not just straight tomato sauce out the can. I season it up the way I like and flavor it with whatever meat I'm cooking. It's impossible to mess up.
I made spaghetti with Ragu Old World Style flavored with meat. It has a great flavor and it's not too strong. The natural flavors create a smooth and delicious classic Italian taste. It needed to be more thicker of a sauce then I am use to but that was a easy fix, I just added more hamburger, diced onions, and garlic. Over all the sauce was really good everyone enjoyed their dinner. It's been a while since I had made spaghetti with Ragu Old World Style sauce and after trying it again I was really pleased with the results. Taste was good, easy and quick to make, and enjoyed that this is made with no artificial colors. flavors, and no high fructose corn syrup. Highly recommend trying!
Ragu Old World Style is not cooked with meat. Has fewer calories and less salt. Resealable container allows for multiple uses and easy pouring. I use this for pizza sauce, soup base, on pastas and polenta.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this brand quite a lot! The flavors are delicious, and many to choose from. I can keep it in my fridge if I don't use the whole thing, which is very important to me. I hate wasting food! I love the size options. This is a very good size jar! The ingredients are all natural, no preservatives. This sauce is low in sugar, which is huge for me. A con is that it's quite high in sodium :( I like to season my sauces myself, just because of how much salt and sugar can be found in things like sauces and condiments. Lastly, this tastes great, and the glass jar is lovely! I do recycle do that's another plus for me.
We made the Ragu Old World Style sauce and found it to be slightly bland. It is a good basic sauce but doesn't have too much flavor overall. Definitely spice it up a little if you want some flavor, we added italian herbs. It was a very smooth texture which was nice! Overall we think it is a good "base" sauce and you can spice it up however you like or leave it be if you prefer more tomato-y sauces.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My mom always got this brand when I was child. I don't know if it was because it was her favorite or the option that fit the grocery budget. I always enjoyed it and when I got older continued to use it for a while before I discovered I preferred other brands. We have spaghetti a lot so I thought I would go back to this one for a change. I noticed that it is now made with olive oil. I don't know if that changed the flavor completely or I just don't enjoy this brand anymore. I didn't like it at all. I could only eat one bite. My kids didn't seem to mind it as they at theirs and didn't complain. I doubt I will use this one again in the future. It's unfortunate as I was hoping to have some nostalgia for taste buds.
There's no fixing this sauce. You can add sugar and spice and everything nice…but it'll still taste like spaghettio's
I was going to make spaghetti and I have this type of sauce, Old World Style, Traditional, now with olive oil. They were out of my favorite which is with onion and garlic. It's going in the garbage. I see it barely gets over 3 stars. I know why. I wont even cook noodles because I'm not wasting more money or time. I even tried adding parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. It's just not good.
My grocery was delivered to the house next door nobody live there, placed on the wet ground because it had rained. My address is on my house in plain site , whoever delivered really didn't care.
