I like that it produces lots of ice; French door fridges don't. The ice sometimes overflows out of the ice bin and spills to lower shelves. Shelves don't go to back wall so items can fall to lower shelves. Door shelves are not easily adjustable

I got this refrigerator about 2 month ago, the ice maker makes a lot of noise. When the refrig comes on it makes this loud noise also. There's a shelf missing for the the freezer door, there's brackets there but no shelf.

Pros: good looking. Doors have good space racks. Storage is good. Shelves are easy to use. Cons: makes snapping and popping noises from evaporator coil and other mechanisms at irregular times. If you are frying to sleep in same room, forget it. Doors do not open as wide as older models. Door storage compartments warmer than main area. Towards top of door, enough to be a bit of concern. Ice vendor speed ice shards. Water filter has to high replacement cost. GE needs to offer a bypass module to fit in.

The water and ice display is way too hard to read. The lettering is light grey on a grey background. Plus the water dispenser is hard to use without dripping water down the front of the door and the ice dispenser shots out small chips of ice, a rug is necessary in front.

After searching for weeks, I finally selected this refrigerator. The problem was, I was comparing my 23 year old GE refrigeratior to these new ones and they just don't compare. This one states it has 2 cf more, but the way the shelves are placed, it holds less food in the freezer and refrigerator section. The ice maker holds more ice but the mechanism is made of plastic instead of metal like my old one. I do like how easy it is to change the filter. I like the alarm; how it comes on if you leave either door open too long. The most striking thing is the LED lights in the refrigerator section. They are bright. There are also LED lights in the dispenser area. If they go out, you have to call for service! I was excited with the refigerator when I first got it but as time went on, I see many faults. GE needs to step it up and make quality appliances like before. To much cheap plastic parts that look like they will break over time.
