It supported my hdmi projector for copyright apps such as Netflix, paramount and such. If you get a cheap HDMI to lightning connector those apps will not be supported and unless you read the fine print, you'll never know. Spend the extra $ and get the actual apple one.
I bought this to take in our RV . I hooked it up to my iPad because it has Internet. You may have to change a few settings to make it work but it's so much easier than a satellite. We had to hassle with call the satellite company and get them to walk us through getting it turned on. I also use it at my sons house because he doesn't have Internet.
Great little device, now I can watch Netflix and YouTube on my big screen tv and charge my phone at the same time
Is good for mirroring Hulu, Prime, Disney YouTube won't play certain TV shows. Picture could come through a little clearer, but I don't think it's meant for that anyway. This is my first day using it. I will let you know if it stop's working early or anything.
Works very well so far. Connected it to my iPhone and mirrored online programming for more than two hours several times. I brought a cheaper version that wasn't a Apple product on Amazon and had to sent it back twice. I buy a lot from Amazon and Walmart both have been good for me but sometimes you get what you pay for. The Apple product cost twice as much but worth the money because it works like it is supposed to. But I had to learn through trial and error.
This adapter has already starting to glitch and sometimes will not connect to my tv with HDMI cord. This is the second adapter I have bought. I am extremely unhappy
I searched the internet for a better deal on this Apple Lightning to HDMI Adapter. While I found one through Walmart's marketplace, I should have paid closer attention to the reviews. The adapter arrived with no box/packaging to identify it as an Apple product, or how to use it. In addition, there was no invoice to contact the company I purchase from directly. I set up the adapter with the HDMI cable I also purchased through the marketplace following the directions I found on a YouTube video. It worked for one evening of play, although I had to restart from my ipad several times when the picture would freeze or pixelate. When I tried rhe next night, the show I had been watching wouldn't play because my device wasn't authorized to play protected content. I tried several "fixes" but none worked. It appears that Apple is not recognizing this device and will no longer play to my TV. The advice from Apple was to return the item and try to purchase another from a reputable Apple dealer. The attached pictures show the item exactly as it arrived, with no packaging or invoice.
Didnt work for more than 5 seconds of one show then it kept saying my phone wasn't compatible and that it had to let it finish downloading something before I could use it l, a few other pop ups saying it wasn't gonna work then it would only say “playing on tv” when it was clearly not playing it just mirrored that “playing on tv”, on the tv. It said my tv wasn't compatible for some hd something it went away too fast for me to see it all. I'll probably return this tomorrow it's not worth $50 to play music on my tv lol I have speakers for that already. Just really frustrating, and the chord fell out my phone really easy too like it was too small or something.
Purchased this item because I wanted an HDMI port for my apple devices. That is NOT what I received. It is a "Lightning to VGA Adapter"... with a VGA port... NOT AN HDMI. I am highly upset because the description, the picture, and even other reviews say its an HDMI. I'm on the phone with walmart returns now. Waste of time.
Just got it in mail and no sealed packaging or anything. Product looked used. Most likely not a real APPLE product either. AVOID EDEALS NY!!!!
