I use the sponge head on this to glue fronts on greeting cards (photos or photoshopped work that used glossy or matt photo paper glued onto cardstock card ). I had always used the expensive glue despensers which work fine but ARE very expensive when you are doing a lot of cards. I like this better because you can adjust the photo on the card even though it is already staying put and it's actually not as messy and works just as well!

The Scotch glue with 2-way applicator is appreciated by me for its ease of application, quick dry time and strength. I use it in card making and often run out of adhesives and can always use my Scotch 2-way glue as a substitute for the missing inventory. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I love this glue. I use it as a craft glue working with miniatures. It works well with fabric, wood, paper, and small beads while drying crystal clear. It is malleable for a while, which allows placement adjustment, but it does not take too long to permanently dry. I just wish they would sell it in larger containers with only one small spout. I never use the ball applicator, only the "bottle" end with the small opening, which I love for applications with small items.
I send out 120 neighborhood directories every year and I thought this applicator with the wide tip would be perfect to use for that but after the first successful use of it, it kind of dried up and wouldn't come out any more.
I was so excited when I saw this product with the 2 tips.How perfect for my kindergarten classroom. I put them at all of their tables, but when we went to use them the glue from the tip side had leaked and filled up the cap. I thought maybe someone had not put the cap on correctly, but another child had the same issue, then 4, then 5 more had the same issue. We flipped them and I told the kids to store this way and now the sponge side cap filled up with glue. As a teacher, I purchased these supplies with my own money and had always trusted Scotch products, I wasted my money on these.
(This review doesn't pertain to the product itself, but rather to the Sam's Club online description of it.) The Sam's Club online description for this product states that it is 16 oz. It is NOT 16 oz, but rather 1.6 oz! This means that you are only getting 1/10th of what you are supposed to get according to the description!
To operate the sponge you have to remove a plastic seal and replace it EVERY time you use it. Even then the sponge may dry out. 3M refunded mine.
