I bought these because i had a couple of friends that have these in their pickups and i noticed these speakers really kick for how much they cost! So when i got around to looking at speakers i went to best buy and looked at some of their product, and i say these speakers are just as good as the $139 Infinitys at best buy. I have had these about a year now and they haven't blown out or anything. Soon i will be replacing my stock 4x6's in the front with the $43 pair of pioneer speakers that walmart also carries. These come with everything you need to install them. The installation was quick for me. Actually it took more time to get the speaker covers off my 96 Impala ss than it did to install the speakers.
Did a complete sound system redo and put these in the rear of my Cavalier. Sounds amazing! Only thing I don't like is the covers do not fit well when trying to mount there into a tight space. Had to return the first pair because the covers snapped the support rods for the screws. Other then that they are good. Have the 5 1/2 in the door and they work perfect together
Great efficiency for lower output audio systems. Good experiences with Pioneer products before so figured I'd give these a try. For the price, hard to compare with others in the same price range because these really rock. Put them in a small enclosure and very little back sound, but pumps it out the front. It is possible to distort sound, but not easy. Overall undistorted frequency response is exceptional for required power and price.
Very good all around speakers. Used these to replace factory speakers in my Toyota Solara which were blown. I power it with a XO receiver (also from walmart) with 45w per channel. I could not be more pleased with how these speakers sound.
I bought these for my old chevy pickup ...put them in those build you own box deals and they sounded better than expected very nice very clear and deep...they can take alot of abuse.
I have these as my rear speakers in my 1993 Dodge Stealth and pioneer 240w in front, along with a pioneer head unit. Overall I was VERY happy with the whole setup, sound quality is absolutly amazing. I'm happy I went with a bit more expensive speakers. Definatly worth it. Only downside is when loud, they dont have enough bass, I added a cheap-o Visonik sub/amp and it really sealed the deal. Amazing sound that wont shatter my windows. A+++
They were nice looking speakers but they would not fit. The 2002 Ford Explorer comes factory with 6x9's in the door so I figured it would be easy to replace. But these Pioneers are to thick to fit into the door of the Explorer. The cut is the same size but the speaker's are recessed back more than the factory one's so it was a no go! Wish they would have fit probally would have sounded good. I refuse to purchase replacement speakers through Ford knowing I will not get quality speakers for this model. Had to return to Wal-Mart and get a refund.
