My second child had a shallow latch. Coach Emily was able to advise me on how to get him to open his mouth with a deeper latch. Her advice was helpful! Almost 2 years later and he's still nursing.
Not only is Coach Jillian vastly knowledgeable about nutrition and helped me figure out what I should be eating to keep my body healthy while growing a baby, but she was also able to continue educating me once I had my daughter, and helped me with her latch and the start of my breastfeeding journey. Being a first time mom this help was vital and Jillian's caring, professional manor made it very easy to share and learn. I will be continuing to consult with her as my daughter grows and to make sure our nutrition plan stays on the right track. This information has been paramount in keeping mommy and baby healthy and I'm glad I have a licensed professional to ease my doubts. I would have never known what supplements and foods I needed to get the right amounts of all the vitamins we need to grow and be healthy. It's truly a science.
Was struggling with breastfeeding and finding it so demoralizing so I really needed this service. And it was incredibly helpful!!!
I was able to make a breastfeeding plan with my coach’s guidance and transition my baby to solids smoothly! It put me at ease and gave me the reassurance and expertise I needed to be a better mom.
Recommendations are age-appropriate, fun, and creative. Instead of making me feel guilty about all the things I'm doing wrong with feeding my kids, it's solutions-oriented and gives me practical ideas for what I can do differently.
I loved having access to a certified nutritionist who was also a lactation consultant. The one on one consultations were so informative as I became a mama of 2 under 2 battling nursing and toddler nutrition!
The resources were helpful and informative during the first few months of being a new parent. There are so many opinions floating around the internet, it was nice to have a trusted source of information to help guide our parenting decisions.
He is just eating more consistently than he was before. No major new foods, but hopefully that will come next. We have gotten him to at least lick or "kiss goodbye" some foods that he wouldn't even touch previously.
Tot squad is a modern and up to date way for all nursing mom's to get advice, help and support especially during tough times such as these. It was super easy to schedule online a time and date to make an appointment to meet over zoom. My coach was good but honestly I can't say she helped me in particular much. During video call, she told me because she's not seeing me in person, there is not much she can help with. Being a 3rd time nursing mama, I think I honestly helped myself more than the appointment helped me. I kind of wish I learned something new or helpful tips to fixing my nursing issue. At the end, she kindly offered to send me links and information on breastfeeding that I already researched online myself from before. Therefore, this was my least favorite part about the video call. I can't say I learned much but maybe this was just my experience. I think if I was a first time mom and didn't have access to a lactation consultant this would be convenient and very beneficial. The other thing for me personally is that I do not feel comfortable nursing my son over the internet on a video chat with a stranger. Moving forward, I doubt I would use this service but I would still recommend it to my girlfriend who may need help or advice from an experienced lactation consultant and who is comfortable on the internet.
I met with a lactation consultant a few days after I gave birth. I wish we had more time, 30 minutes was not enough to cover everything. It was hard to get the help I needed over a video call. I think I should have had someone come in person.
