I purchased this foot spa in WalMart. I wanted the pink one but I always get pink everything. So I went with the green (wish I would have gotten the pink LOL). Anyway, my children and I were so psyched to try it out. We even purchased foot scrub and cream. I am not hard to please and for this price do not expect to get a something PERFECT. It does its job for the price. I placed the spa on a large towel. I put hot (but not too hot) water in it because from reading so many reviews about other foot spas I did not expect it to heat the water or maintain the heat of the water (basically just in case). The bubbles felt GREAT! When I moved my feet back and forth over the rollers it was a sensation. There is just enough room in the spa to move your feet. Yes, the spa only comes with 3 items to massage your feet. I do not plan to use them much anyway. Also, if you have an problem with the 3 items, are you that cheap you cannot go out and purchase a stone (to scrub your feet) or additional exfoliating items? Anyway, when I turned the jets on it felt EVEN BETTER. Just be sure to place this spa on a LARGE towel. The bubbles and the jets will eventually get water around the spa (on the surface its on) if not. No, this is not an issue for me. I am not that lazy to where I cannot clean up a little water. By the time I finished the water was still mildly warm. Even if it would have gotten cold, the spa STILL DID ITS JOB FOR ME. My children also loved it and want to get their feet pampered every night. That should tell you something. Some adults are so picky and expect too much. Pedicures get expensive after going several times. This is the only item I was missing to do my own pedicures at home. If you want something close to perfect go to a salon and even then it's no guarantee. I would highly recommend this product.
I bought one for my daughter for Christmas then I tried it I definitely needed one so I bought myself one now my daughter and I have weekly spa days using this foot spa is way better then going to the salon. From the massaging jets to the extreme bubbles and the two extra massaging attachments and Pumas stone this is the best foot spa I have ever purchased.
Bought two of these - one for my mom and one for my boyfriend's mom - and they both loved it!
It works for me like advertised. For some reason those that rated this poorly because of the heating didnt understand that it is not to heat the water, it maintains the temperature.
I got this foot spa on a clearance sale for $7.00, and it totally exceeded my expectations at that price point. Other reviewers complained about leaking and the heat function. My spa did not leak a drop... It does, however, spit over the top - especially when using the jets. But I was neither surprised or upset at this - it's moving water, after all ... I have to agree with the heat comments. The instructions specifically say that the heat function is to MAINTAIN the temperature of the water you put in. what I found, however, is that the heat maintains for maybe 5 minutes max. All in all, I'm pleased with this purchase. It soothed my feet and softened my skin and will help me keep my feet neat between pedicures.
I experienced what others wrote. I had a big mess out the back from water leaking out. And I mean soak up a bath sheet mess. You can't fill this very full. Here is what I would change. Higher back to prevent water from spilling out. Longer cord as most will need an extension cord. Heat that actually keeps the hot water warm. It would be nice if when the rollers on the bottom were removed the feet had room just simply be flat. It feels good, the bubbles and the jets work, but most will be cleaning up a mess figuring out the learning curve.
After purchasing 2 of these (on clearance) we opened one. The massage rollers on the bottom are uncomfortable (for us anyway) and are easily removable. What one is left with are 4 white plastic clips the rollers fit into. After some serious wiggling (didn't want to pry with tools) they all came out leaving the bottom of the spa flat. OK one hurdle overcome. Next, we put some fairly hot water inside (product says does not heat but maintains only) after 5 minutes or so of testing the jets and bubble features, the water inside the spa was noticeably cooler. No maintaining that we could tell. There are some (reviewers) that claim this unit does not have the ability to heat at all. This is not true. Read on... Being an electrician, I was bound to determine if this unit would have the ability to heat or not. Removed the bottom (has a bunch of phillips screws holding it on) there is a very thin white wire that serpentines around a few places, but does not cover very much area (if you want to see the heat wire, use a powerful flashlight and shine it around the sides and you can see it through the area where your feet rest) using an AC amprobe, I tested the amprage at the end of the wire. The reading I got was less than 1 amp. Next, I used a non contact infrared thermometer and pointed it directly on the wire from the bottom side. This thin wire read a maximum temperature of 108 degrees. Sounds hot enough to maintain water temperature doesn't it? Well no, it can't. unless the water was 1/4" deep or less, there is no chance that the heater built into this unit will keep any water hot in the spa. If you are buying this unit hoping to fill it to the level to use the bubbles and jets AND keep the water even warm, forget it. You will have to fill the unit 1/2 full and add a little bit of hot water as it cools. Otherwise, enjoy a cool foot bath with slight water jet and bubble action. Cheers!
The bubbles and water jets are nice however there is no heat. I purchased one of these and it was cold in less than a minute. I assumed the unit was defective because the box clearly states that this is a heated foot massager. Took it back and exchanged it for another with the exact same result. If you want to use it for more than a minute be prepared to make multiple trips to a source of hot water which kinda defeats the purpose of a device intended to soothe your tired and achy feet.
This foot spa was not at all what I expected. Not sure if this was a used product! Cause it does not seem to work. The water does not stay warm at all, the rollers at the bottom hurt and don't feel right, if I remove them it is not very comfortable at all. Not happy at all!
Got this for Christmas. Used it the next night and it was horrible. Water didn't stay warm, water kept coming out of the back. The towel I had done was drenched. Took some water out to see if I had too much In. Water still came out and my feet weren't even covered with water. The rollers or massagers were very hard to move back and forth. Brought back to the store already!! Don't buy!!
