Vanilla almond is a sweet, simple flavor that will almost feel like you're eating dessert, while keeping you full. I also love how it's gluten free and non-gmo. Can't wait to add these yummy bars to my daily routine!

I alternate between the Vanilla Almond and the Peanut Butter and Chocolate, for a once every couple day breakfast. Those are my fav's. The others are good too, but these are what I always come back to and make my standard order.

The outside is has a tasty vanilla coating while the inside is slightly crunchy but soft. I love how the bar is non-gmo, low glycemic, gluten free, and is packed with protein. I love this bar for my busy lifestyle because it's easy for me to take on the go or eat during my breaks. This is my favorite clif bar yet.
I recently had hip replacement surgery and used the Vanilla Almond Builders bars to help get the protein I needed to maintain muscle. I enjoy the taste. It has worked well and I will continue to use it as I am getting older.

I've been eating this Vanilla Almond Clif Builders bar daily for years and have left a previous extremely positive review. I've tried other flavors and had always come back to this one as my favorite. There has always been slight variability in terms of hardness/chewiness with some batches moister/softer than others, but almost always acceptable. I only once requested a replacement for a bad batch before more recent events. A few months ago, I ordered multiple boxes to restock. The first one I tasted was like eating cardboard. Density and dryness were almost at an OMG I can't eat this level though I've managed to get through 48 of them while alternating with some older stock Cinnamon ones. They did change the recipe. I corresponded with customer service and received a single box from a batch that was 1 day newer as a replacement and a suggestion that I try it and report back on my experience. In addition, I was informed "We did make some updates to streamline the recipe, including reducing the sugar, increasing the amount of organic ingredients, and removing gluten-containing ingredients like oats." Well it may have less sugar and be less sweet and more dry, but total calories increased slightly. The replacement box was very similar to the 4 boxes I had from the other batch, though marginally less hard/dry. Bottom line is: they may think the new recipe is somehow healthier, though I'm not convinced that's true, and it certainly tastes a whole lot worse!
