This replaced a old net gear router which at the time was state of the art and very expensive This Asus router is not the state of the art but it way out preforms what we had and as I thought about it most if not all the things that are using the network in our house can not even use wifi 7 .. So older technology is not so bad range is better very ez set up Happy with it..
Awesome Router! Im not a gamer or a hacker, just an average guy who wanted a router for an airbnb property. The spectrum wifi 6 router i got did not do what i wanted and that was to log on via web and create a guest account. This router allowed me to set up my main network where i have my camera system via POE to NVR and NVR to the ports on the router. I also have a lock system and 4 tvs connected via wifi and dont experience any lag. When i get some time ill make some cat 6e runs and connect them direct. But i did some test and connected to the guest account and the internet speeds where good. Im gonna watch some youtube videos and see what else i can tweak to get the most out of this router. The Asus app is also awesome which lets you see the network and connected devices and set parental control for kids connected to the wifi. It also lets you set scheduled block to prevent kids from staying up late on internet. Im going to buy one for my personal house.

Strong long range signal with excellent performance. We've paired it with an RT-AX88U to create an air mesh network. That setup was quick and easy using the onboard software. It provides detailed performance and operational info that allows experienced users to create and monitor a custom network. It also provides automated setup options for those looking for an easy secure plug and play option. This operating interface is highly customizable allowing us to us a mix of older and newer devices on both 2.4G and 5G bands. I've owned wifi routers from competitors and ASUS is simply a better product. We have multiple streaming devices, a WiFi home security system, home automation and multiple computers. The AT-AX58U manages all of it flawlessly and maximizes our broadband service. Superior security, great user interface, detailed performance monitoring, and highly customizable.
This is a great Router for what I use it. No problems with connecting devices and using the Asus Router App to add and name devices and control each one. It has the Wifi 6 and duel channel 5GHz and 2.4GHz. Great Router.
Premium look and feel. Amazing coverage. I have a Two story home that's over 3,100 sq feet with no dead spots. Speeds over 500mbps with wifi and 1gbwith LAN.
So far, the easiest router to set up. It takes awhile to go thru all the options but these days, maximizing security is important. Has a great app and or gui.
I apparently lost my login credentials which is unusual for me to do and I can't find them. I need to create new login credentials to have others who come to visit, to be able to use my wifi internet service so that they are not chewing up their minutes. Other than that, I am happy with it.
I have had Asus stuff for a long time. This thing is fast and easy to set up. I have 3 wired together for AI mash. this covers my house shop and garage. WIFI is great no problems. Now for the bad. For some reason it changes wired ip address to my PC, network switch, NVR etc. Then it get the right IP and works great for a day or so then the same thing happens allover again.
