Fantastic Hairbrush

I love this hair brush. For as long as I can remember, I have used the old style hairbrush with the close bristles and as you age, you start losing more hair and some medicines will also cause your hair to become thinner. I tried some of the hair brushes similar to this one but they always seemed to pull making my hair break and my head sore. This one was such a pleasant surprise in more ways than one. 1. The handle almost feels soft, probably because of the smooth feel of it and it's shape. When you have issues like Arthritis or Fibromyalgia your hands are very sensitive to what you have to hold or use and many days your hands just plain hurt so using a brush with an oddly shaped handle can make them hurt even more. This one doesn't it fits perfectly in my hand without anything jutting out causing pain. 2. The bristles, they are spaced so well, your hair isn't getting snagged or pulled and I have found since getting this brush that I am losing way less hair than with my old one. Too, the copper bristles make your head feel as if they are in a way giving your scalp a massage. I feel the effects of them on my scalp for some time afterwards and it's a pleasant feel and if you are having a day when your pain level is so high, even your hair hurts if a puff of air touches it, brushing with this brush causes way less pain. Copper helps with some pain issues and if these bristles are copper as stated, maybe they will help control some of the head pain issues. You couldn't pay me enough to give this brush back. Thank you Walmart Spark Reviewer Team for making this brush available and letting me be a tester.

Not as gimmicky as I'd thought

I had to try this brush to see whether the copper bristles were just a gimmick. I have very fine, thick, color-treated hair that tends to get static. I get flyaway hairs a lot. The brush has copper metal bristles with rounded tips. These are set in a flexible, rubberized wide paddle setting. The handle of the brush is white matte plastic. For safety reasons, do not use this while using a blow dryer. The copper bristles will heat up and may burn you. The brush claims to use the copper bristles to "massage the scalp and work through the hair to reduce buildup and restore your hair's natural moisture balance." The bristles do massage the scalp nicely and break up buildup without scratching. They also reduce static drastically and leave my hair looking really shiny. (Please see picture.) Instructions, per the box: "*Brush hair 203 times per day or more for maximum benefits. *For best results, use on dry hair. *Do not use with blow dryer as copper bristles may get hot. *Clean brush by dipping the bristles in a mixture of lemon juice and water. Wipe with dry cloth."

The Best Brush I've Ever Owned

I have thinning hair--whether from illness, medication, or old age, I don't know. But it's been a problem for me for several years. In fact I'm totally sick of looking at my hair brush full of tangled gray-with-a-touch-of-brown hair. What sold me on this one is the copper bristles make the tangles disappear and the cushioned base. These days, I try to be very gentle with what hair I have left. The first time I used this, I started brushing and found a tangle. I stopped and very carefully started over down the same section of hair. The tangle seemed to melt under the bristles. Wow. I couldn't believe it. I have now been using this brush for about two weeks now. I swear to you, I rarely see a hair in my brush! I can't believe it. And of all things, my hair is shinier. What kind of hair brush does that? I feel like I've found a miracle. Every time I see it on my bathroom counter, I smile. It's beautiful. I love the glistening copper bristles against the smooth pearl handle. It feels good in my hand, too. It's a perfect fit in the palm of my hand, and the best possible shape.

No "brush-off" for this one!

I want to share why I really chose this particular brush. It is, after all, JUST a brush, and the only thing even remotely “new” about it is that the bristles are made of copper. However, regardless of all the myriad of gadgets that can be accumulated for hair-care routines, no one can make much progress if the Basics are skipped. What good would it do to have all kinds of curl-producing equipment, if the starting point is a frizzy, tangled mess, right? (Okay, unless we're talking about the long-term goal being a cultivation of some powerful dreadlocks, and a steady diet of jerk-chicken, along with an upcoming trek to Lalibela, but I have none of those in my immediate future, alas.) My main focus at 59 years of age is to get the fundamentals taken care of as quickly and painlessly as possible, so I can get on with the things in Life I truly enjoy. And that is where those new copper bristles come into play. This brush lets me come out of the shower and do a “drip-dry” and just go! Seriously, I can towel dry my hair, run this brush through it, and it really turns out with my hair looking pretty good. I'd be lying if I said I looked “just like I walked out of a high dollar salon”, because the only time you look that way is – well, when you walk out of a high dollar salon. BUT – this brush takes care of tangles something great, and my hair dries to a nice, fluffed look with no frizzes. I'm not an expert and so I can't say for sure, but it's probably because there isn't a lot of stress during the brushing – like, the hair shafts don't get all wadded up in the bristles, it just kind of glides right through and makes an easy time of the whole untangling. The bed of the bristles is flexible, very much so, and this also probably helps with keeping the untangling situation nice and easy. And the ends of the bristles are rounded, which not only feel good on my scalp, but I think they help add body to my hair when I am brushing it as it's drying. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this brush. There are only 2 things I wish were just a bit different. (1) The brush is difficult for me to clean out the leftover hairs when I am through. And (2) I chose a size too large for my purse. I have got to find a mini-version of this to take with me when I am out and about. However, on the “plus” side I would like to mention that this brush is (apparently) extremely durable.. As it was laying there on my vanity the other day, my PBB (PitBullBaby) darted his head into the bathroom just long enough to snag my brush and took off like a streak! By the time I got into my wheelchair and chased him down to retrieve it, he'd had it for approximately 22.6 seconds. I am happy to report there is not the slightest mark on it, not anywhere. I just knew he was going to demolish it, his teeth are legendary for the damage they can do to inanimate objects in double-quick time, but nope, the body of the brush is just as smooth as the day I took it from the package. Not that I recommend you try this by way of experiment with yours, but my brush survived the encounter with flying colors. Pokey Joe (my PBB) was pleased to hear that I've decided the brush is a Keeper – but for me, not him!

It is the first time I hear about copper bristle hair dandruff . I think you have to use one month to see the results. I'll talk about the look ; more than the result. It is lightweight, good design , I like that is white so we know when this dirty, the bristles are not flexible, are hard with rounded tips , this is what gives massage the scalp , if you are sensitive will be very hard you should use it and with less force. is preferably used on dry hair several times a day , use it gently to avoid causing much electricity , is best when you use it with the hair a little dirty , so you take fat to tip. Look for information from people who have used it for several months and say it is effective . You can try, if you do not remove dandruff If you get shine and life to hair, but use it properly. Never use the dryer , copper is the best conductor of heat and if you use dryer will burn the hair.

Goody Brush

I'm really up in the air about this brush. The instructions say not to use it on wet hair or for detangling (which is what I use a brush for) but I tried it just the same. The instructions are right. It pulls and rips hair out. So I detangle with one brush and use this one after. I have thick waist length hair and the bristles on this brush are strong enough get through it and down to my scalp. It does feel good to use it, but I haven't noticed any improvement with dandruff or itchy scalp. And I have been using it the recommended 2-3 times per day. Some people have stated that the brush smells bad and makes their smell like old pennies (because of the copper bristles) but I haven't had that problem. I would not recommend this brush for a child or someone with a sensitive scalp as it may be to harsh for them.

Goody Clean Radiance

The Goody Clean Radiance hairbrush has copper bristles which supposedly make your hair healthy by reducing buildup. This item is made in China. There is a contact phone number for the distributor located in Atlanta. The package states the copper bristles massage the scalp, work to reduce buildup, and restore the hair's natural moisture balance. The brush also has a cushion pad for comfort. The instructions say brush hair 2-3 times per day, use on dry hair, do not use with blow dryer ( the copper may get hot), clean with lemon juice and water solution drying with a dry cloth. I find the brush is not as comfortable as my other brushes. The metal is a little rough on your head even though the bristles end with a small ball. The bristles seem to get a bit tangled in your hair. I haven't used it very long but I don't think it will be a favorite of mine.

good brush but gave me so much static

Let me start with how the brush looks, its nice the brissells are like copper its very sturdy for the amount of hair I have. Usually brushes like this one pop out trying to untangle my hair but this one stood the test, the one thing that did happen was I lost a brissell just one. The brush gave me so much static. I tried it for about two weeks and I didn't notice any changes my hair is usually shiny because it black so I don't know about it making it shiny. I posted two pictures and the flash made my hair look extra shiny but in the second picture it didn't and i think you can see how its game me static. It felt really nice one my skull like a massage when i used it. I'm conflicted on recomending this I like it its sturdy and very nice but it gives you static lol. I use it and usually wear my hair up in a bun so its not that big of a deal. Oh yeah I have very thick long wavy hair It did great untangling it with out falling apart and its very light weight.

This is a good take on things by Goody. Their products generally hold up in the long run. Was intrigued by the copper. Honestly, I am not noticing a difference. A couple set-backs are that it is larger and more cumbersome (see photo of a standard brush). Even though the bristles on the Goody are 'rounded' (just like my other brush) they are uncomfortable on my scalp. Not certain I would really want one again just due to this. Cleaning it is a breeze. No problems there.

I would not buy this brush again because you cannot use it on wet hair. I have used it on dry hair and the copper bristles seem to snag my hair and I worry it would break my hair. I have long hair and do not have many broken hairs and am almost afraid to use this brush even on dry hair for fear of breakage on my hair. My hair is wet often from washing it or even just from the shower and to know I cannot use this when my hair is wet just isn't practical for me. The first day I received the brush I used it often and it made my scalp feel kind of sore with the hard copper bristles. Walmart sells so many hair brushes to choose from and some of them are even meant for using on wet hair that I am going shopping for a new hairbrush at Walmart. I am not going to buy one that has hard copper bristles like this one does. I am sure that others would love this brush with the copper bristles stimulating your scalp as you brush. Also Goodys ad says with regular use it makes your hair shine, so this would work for others just not for me.
