I like the economics of the powder. Doing it in a blender or a blender bottle gets the clumps out. I use milk with some ice in warmer weather…..delicious! For the people who complained about the clumps I don't think they mixed in the preferred way. The liquid is so much more expensive. I haven't tried it with just water so I don't know how that would taste.
Glucose aware people won't be disappointed.
More frothy than the bottled shakes. Add some ice and it's like having a chocolate malt.
A great pick-me-up mixed with coffee, if it's too early for breakfast; no sweetener required.
The best in-between meals for weight loss, hunger, or with chocolate coffee! Good nutrition.
I have been mixing a single scoop with a cup (8oz) of 2% milk and roughly 8oz of ice. Put it into a mixer / blender and the resulting shake is not too bad. Makes a decent snack drink or small liquid meal. As it get's warmer, I will start adding some frozen strawberries and frozen bananas to make banana split shakes.
The powder doesn't dissolve great but it's my favorite brand of shakes. They really help me maintain my hunger and blood sugar enough to substitute 2 meals daily and lose 20 pounds. I was really disappointed to see the price more then double in one weeks time. Making it unaffordable for people on tight budgets like me.
Didn't care for the way it blended.
Gritty and has a bad after taste
I am discussed about the differences in the Gluerna's Powder drink mixes from the Chocolate vs the vanilla cans. $45 to the vanilla at $18 . Just because there is a higher demand on the chocolate vs the vanilla can, why does your corporation think that it's fair to do that to the American public. If you weren't so greedy in gaining profit, the public would continue to purchase your Glucerna Chocolate powder drink more often. As for this consumer, you have lost my business because of your gouging attitude, and I'm sure I won't be the only one. Shame on you!
