[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using my new Lenovo, just for a few days and it has been great..I am still installing programs as I use the computer mainly for digital design and I need many programs to run at the aame time. So far the only issue I have had is that when I turn on my tablet it makes a quick off on the Lenovo screen. I will probably review it again later when all programs are installed.
I got this yoga to work with photoshop, and premier pro, and create some digital art, and it has performed excellent. The touch screen is really great, the screen tilts down making it easier to draw on, it has a bright beautiful display. Theres been a couple times when downloading photos that the fans have gotten a little loud, but no problems occurred with the system. I really enjoy using this as my workstation, its ease of use helps me be productive. I would recommend anybody to use the yoga, I think its worth it for the price!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I LOVE IT. Very smooth very fast very quiet! So far obsessed!! You guys rock!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm so in love with my new desktop, I use it for my projects and for browsing/streaming and I'm totally obsessed! Recommended 10/10
Clean looking design, wireless charging pad for wireless mouse and iPhone is perfect. I really love the space made available for the wireless keyboard just below the monitor. Great looking piece of technology I don't mind having on my desk.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fabulous computer. I am a professor, and using the pen to write on the screen has been a nice added feature for teaching.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really love the huge screen and it's been a dream combined with my Cintiq. This yoga is perfect for working with multiple artboards in Photoshop. My only con is that it's not true artist tech/hub - and it's so close to being there. The pen technology needs A LOT of work (aka a Wagon EMR digitizer would make it perfect) - suggesting changing the pen tech for quality performance and making a rechargable pen. AES just doesn't cut it for serious illustration and paint work. Not even close. The mouse and pen should be reachargable considering the charging doc. The Lenovo dial is amazing when it works properly. I've had issues with it not picking up on switching between programs. Other than that, I'm really happy. Hoping Lenovo pushes it a little further for creative use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A940 is a great AIO. I wish it had a better pen though. Also it should have come with a second drive SSD instead of a 5400 SATA spin drive. (I did change that though) Display is good but not outstanding.
I have had one of these for over a year now. I bought mine used from the original owner. I work in PC repair and tech support, and this is the only AIO I feel comfortable using. Even other Lenovo AIO's just don't make the cut for me. Pros: It's surprisingly sturdy. I was worried about wobble and the monitor not wanting to stay put until I tried one out in a store. When upright, you can even tilt it a little downward-facing which I find really helps with glare. The display is up to my standards. Touch responsiveness is great. Backlighting doesn't wash out colors too bad even when at max. Lots of ports in convenient places. And it has an SD card slot. The HDMI out is also an HDMI in, which is nice if you're in a pinch (though the quality of the display for input isn't great and is bottlenecked) Easy to service compared to other AIO's. Huge plus for me. Nearly all components are housed in the base just a couple of screws away. The RAM is not soldered and can be replaced. You can even replace the CPU in this thing. Mind you, I haven't had to replace anything on this machine. Cons: Noise- she's a bit loud. It always either jet engine fans or some coil whine type noise from the backlight that gets louder the higher you crank the brightness. I personally don't mind the noise that much, but it would be somewhat disruptive in a quiet shared office. The fans have only gotten loud for me when I'm pushing it with detailed 3D modeling. The dial is convenient... If you use the programs it is compatible with. I would really like for it to be more programmable from Lenovo's software. It doesn't seem like this would be too hard to implement and I hope they add this functionality before they end support for these machines. The graphics card can handle a lot, but could be better. I wish they had offered a variant with a better GPU. And some neutral points: The pen works. Doesn't have a ton of features, but it's does what it is supposed to and is fairly accurate despite the parallax. The keyboard and mouse are functional. It's a bit weird that the mouse is supposed to be stored on the wireless charging pad when not in use but cannot be charged wirelessly itself, but it has good battery life and I have only had to replace the battery once. Keyboard lasts a while as well and is rechargeable. Nice that they can be stored neatly away. Overall, I really like this computer. It was a big purchase for me even though I bought mine used, but has been worth every dollar and every inch of space it takes up on my desk. It has been excellent for 3D modeling and graphic design and I'm going to keep it running as long as I can. I'm glad they listened to what people want, and even if it seems excessive at face value, I think I have used every physical feature on this machine at least once. Hopefully by the time I need something more powerful, Lenovo will have released another AIO like this one.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The screen clarity & color is amazing. I had trouble with the positioning on the monitor, I loved the low angle range but I had to prop it up with a book to get a suitable placement. I did not like that I couldn't tilt the screen up at all, as it raised up, it turns downward, facing more towards the floor. Facial recognition is amazing too but I also had to tip the unit forward for the camera to face me. I loved so many things about this unit but I had to return it for the issues it had. Start button didn't always work, neither did the charging dock.
