One son didn't like the "purple wheels" but the other one did. My sons love hot wheels cars so this fit great in their collection of cars. They specifically want to collect the other Mario themed cars.

Hot Wheels are our go-to brand when buying toy cars as we have yet to break one, and believe me my son is not always gentle on his toys! The size and shape of the car worked perfectly in his numerous tracks and play sets and not stick wheels (which means no tears, yay!). We love Hot Wheels so much that even thought we have a basket full already we just keep getting more!

The design is so great that you actually feel like you're looking at a character straight out of the cartoon. So far it has held up to some rigorous 5 year old boy tests!

It is made well and the character paint job is awesome. It moved quickly on all surfaces and went well with my grandson's multiple race tracks. I would imagine this particular car would also appeal to people of any age who collect Mario themed items. I was very pleased with this product.

When the first nintendo game system came out I was around 8 years old therefore my opinion might be a little bias. I absolutely love the old school, video game, collector's edition hot wheels. I think it will definitely appeal to gamers as well as 80's babies.

The car works perfect with it. He was amazed when he sat the car on the floor and it started rolling on it's own. It is a very durable toy for a young child.

He tried out the Yoshi tow truck, and while super cute, he didn't find it as functional as other Hot Wheels tow trucks. The boom wasn't as flexible as his others. It did go on the tracks just fine and as a collectible, is a fun addition to any collection!
