Fast shipping, set up was extreamly easy, can now print pictures from our phones which is great. Extreamly quiet and clear sharp pictures as well as documents. Very nice printer.
The printer is great! When I scan it has a hard time finding the PC that I use or loses network connection.
My previous printer was a Pixm MX922, which i liked and just plain wore it out. I like my new TR8620 with a few exceptions. I do especially like having a front feed as well as a rear feed. I find the print quality to be even better than the MX922. This brings me to my (few) complaints. One complaint is that with the printer closed, with power on, Ythe printer does not open auromacily and mus be done manually. One other fault I find is that the printer seems to take longer to start printing than my old one (both were/are connected wirelessly. One last complaint it the new one is somewhat noisy, and sometimes sounds like an old Model T Ford. I realize that I am comparing two different printers. All-in-all, I am quite satisfied with the 8620. I am getting used to the differences, except for the automatic opening like the 922.
This Pixma is slightly less sturdy that the last model I had that worked with Windows 10. It still is a great printer, but the panel in front that has to be lifted is an undesirable feature. I prefer the rear paper feed over the cassette. The little extension that holds printed pages is flimsy and does not support many pages before they begin to fall on the floor.
This is an excellent printer and scanner for the home office. It takes up less space than anything I have every used so far. The document scan feature produces good quality documents. The color scan feature tends to wash out colors, but maybe this can be adjusted for. My only issue has been that I need to use the printer no further than 1 room away from my router, or I have a poor connection and cannot print.
The tray for the paper is in such an inconvenient place. Bad engineering on someone's part.
I bought this printer to replace a really great one. I have been very happy with all my previous Canon printers, and so assumed I would be happy with this one. It is a good printer, in that it gets the job done, but it has some issues I would have preferred to know about before I bought it. First, the plastic parts are thinner and cheaper than previous Canon models. They are flimsy and feel as fragile as chinaware. I am afraid I am going to break it every time I touch it. Second, it does not turn itself on when I send a print job to it. The printer shuts off to save electricity, but most previous models turned themselves on automatically as well. This one doesn't, which makes printing from anywhere in the house very inconvenient, if not impossible. Third, the paper capacity is smaller than previous models. I thought it was larger based on the description I read, but I was wrong. If you want something that basically functions as it should with no convenience or quality in the product itself, then this is a good model. If you are used to modern conveniences as I previously mentioned I am, then you should look elsewhere.
Excellent print quality, however it's much more cheaply made than my previous Canon Pixama 8800 series, which is disappointing. Flimsy material. Also does not have the door in front that opens when prining, and it has a flimsy paper catch that you have to pull/fold out which is a pain. Next to the great print quality it's other redeeming feature is that you can use third party ink cartridges, saving allot of money.
Set-up via web site confusing, Disc should have been included. Front paper tray fragile and awkward to make use of. Back tray doesn't seem to hold much paper. This was a replacement of my old Pixma but it appears to be nothing but a cheap copy.
1st, I am not able to keep my printer online and have to go to troubleshooter every time I want to print. You Q&A did nothing to help me on this. My computer is a Dell Inspiron 7000 series and I use the wireless connection on all of my devices, with the exception of my Canon printer. (at least so far). and the reason I bought this printer was for the fact that it is WIRELESS! Needles to say, I am not happy with my purchase.
