This is my favorite of the fragrance choices. I'm an advocate of essential oil use and Ylang-Ylang is at the top of my list. Plus, Calendula is what I had to use during radiation treatments. A double win! However, Wood and Water is strong second choice.
I have sensitive skin and this doesn't make me break out! The bar is a little stiff at first, but after slightly melting in a warm car, the application is smooth. I have not had this deodorant make any permanent stains or marks on my clothing. It also smells fresh for the whole day (unless I'm REALLY sweating), so as far as natural products go, it works well! It is important to remind potential buyers that this is a DEODERANT and not and antiperspirant. Therefore, you will still sweat when wearing this. You just won't stink. Finally, at least from my perspective, the deodorant initially smells more like ylang-ylang and as time goes on, smells more like calendula—just an interesting tid-bit.
I am amazed at how effective this deodorant is. It works for days at a time and controls odor even if I perspire. The solidness of it takes a little getting used to, but I need to apply so little of it and getting chemicals out of my life makes me extremely happy.
I purchased this deodorant because typically solid deodorant clog my pores and I was tired of holding my breath to use spray on deodorants. This deodorant doesn't clog my pores and I stay fresh in all week when the temperatures over 100 degrees. I was Initially worried if it would work because of my strong body odor I was convinced that natural products were not an option. I was also concerned of how it looks when applying(not as smooth as other deodorants) but this is truly a great product!
I am blown away at the customer service. Emily A was so helpful with my shipping and tracking information. The products are also just as amazing as the service! I am so please to be treating my body better and having the product ACTUALLY work! I am now a lifer!
This is the first natural deodorant that hasn't caused a rash. The smell of this deodorant is great, however it takes a little getting used to the rough feeling of the stick itself...a little like sandpaper. Directions say to warm under arm first which helps a little. The scratchy application is outweighed by the scent and how well the deodorant works. I would purchase again.
I love the smell of this deoderant so much and it seems to last a really long time for me. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the baking soda consistency on a hot day, it feels a little unfinished, but it works so much better than all the other natural and chemical brands I've tried. I will be buying this again.
Very strong smell like a public bathroom air freshener. Not pleasant at all. I like both of these scents so I thought it would be nice. It's not. I can't stand it, tossing this one in the trash.
I bought this a while ago but only recently started using it. It has given me a painful, widespread rash from the top of my armpit to the bottom of my ribcage. The hives are large, red, and weep. I do not recommend this product to people with sensitive skin. I believe the issue is primarily due to the fragrance as other schmidt's scents have not had this effect on me. I will say it is very good at preventing body odor though, so I guess I have a nice smelling, painful rash :/.
My first deo was the rose and vanilla one and I had no issue with that (except for underarm darkening which was a huge issue at the time but pales in comparison) I bought this deo and the sensitive formula and since those two I will never buy Schmidt's again. The sensitive one stains every single piece of clothing I wear (I even use the tiniest amount and it still stains) to the point I HATE getting dressed because all my clothes get ruined. But this one is the worst. It's so Gritty. It's like rubbing sandpaper on my armpits and it just balls up in my armpits. I've used it for months because it was expensive and I need to use it up. I absolutely hate the grittiness. Warming up doesn't help. It completely exfoliates my armpits and I'm attaching a picture so you can see how gritty the texture is and how it balls off like clay. The absolute worst experience and I will never recommend this to anyone.
